The VLAIB is the largest of the Aritficial Island Bases. It is all weather ocean use. It features 8 deacks: an open top deck, 6 interior living deck, and an interior facilities deck. The interior decks have a celing hight of 2.5m. Each deack is separated by a 25 cm floor/bulkhead.
