What is The Unwavering Desire about and how come you’re making a big deal out of this?
The Unwavering Desire, TUD for short, basically chronicles the meeting of three demi-human boxers and an orphaned girl, namely Hyo, Kazo, Granar and Hana. It also tells about their early days and an incident that changes the Fated Four’s lives. Though it may seem like the exposition of The Angel’s Seal, TAS for short and the sequel for TUD, it can really support itself as a whole work of its own and doesn’t require any experience of reading my other works. As to why I’m making a big deal out of this, it’s because it’s my first original story and I want to make it as far as I can with my first story.
What about The Angel’s Seal? Is it better than TUD?
Well, reading from the reviews I’ve gotten so far from TAS, my answer is yes for the second question. Because I matured in my writing ability a bit after writing TUD, the sequel has become better in terms of my first one. However, it is required that you read TUD before TAS so as to get the gist of the plot in TAS.
Speaking of TAS, it starts where TUD left off, six months after the incident. The plot gets complicated from here because of these reasons: a) More characters are introduced to tailor the plot, b) It’s unlike the plot of TUD which revolves around the Fated Four (Hyo, Hana, Kazo and Granar) because this involves a higher power at work, basically there’s an antagonist now and, c) Be prepared for lots of flashback; you’ll intimately know the characters when their motives and histories are shown in a new light.
Is it true you planned to make another sequel after TAS? Can you shed some light on this?
Yes, it’s true. Originally I planned to make it the third in the series, making it a trilogy. As for the second question, I don’t want to spoil any more than you can handle. However, I will tell you this: This third book will fill in the gaps the first book left where the second book hasn’t filled yet. Sounds confusing? You’ll see when the book comes.
Is there romance on any of those stories you mentioned?
Not really. But there’s a lot of relationships among the characters, so who knows? Wait, there’s that one bit about Hyo and Sa-
