Apprentice Beastcrafter Tesh

Persona Information:

Name: Tesh
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual (he thinks; too young to really know yet)
Rank/Craft: Apprentice BeastCrafter

Mother: Caresh, 38, Cook
Father: Tavis, 39, Sr. Journeyman BeastCrafter
Siblings: Calissa, 12, Child.
Foster Parents: None
Significant Other: None
Children: None.

Persona Appearance:

Tesh is... scrawny. He hasn't grown more than five inches in the past four years, and as he's only 5'0", this is starting to worry him. His father consoles him that as he hasn't yet had a voice change (or even reached puberty) there's still plenty of time, but he's sick of being teased by other boys and knocked over whenever any of the animals he tends get too rowdy. He isn't weak for his size, and works as hard as any, but he just doesn't have the strength of most boys his age, and it's getting embarrasing for him now.

Tesh has brown hair and blue eyes - the hair from his father, the eyes from his mother - and pale skin that is now mostly a mass of pimples and freckles. He is quite the miserable adolescent. He dresses in plain clothes - a shirt or tunic over cotton breeches, and sturdy leather boots - and dislikes it when his mother fusses and tries to neaten him and comb his unruly hair.

Persona Personality:

Tesh is a dreamer. He dreams of growing so tall that he can knock over all his bullies just by poking them with a finger; he dreams of impressing a bronze and burning his bullies to a crisp; he dreams of finding out his real father was a Lord Holder and moving away from his bullies forever. He's also a tough little kid, not about to take guff from anyone, even if they think that he's eight and not fourteen. If anyone messes with him, he'll swear a blue streak and then attempt to beat them up (and get trashed in the process). His mother despairs of ever civilizing him, and his father is secretly quite proud of how bold and brave his son is. Tesh hates being condescended to, and desperately wants to show up his bullies. He'd especially like to be searched, and to impress; unbeknownst to him, he has the potential, though he's always been overlooked before.

Persona History:

Tesh was born to a cook at the Southern BeastCraft Hall and a young journeyman who, guilted into marriage by the pregnant woman, actually found that he got on fairly well with her. They bicker constantly, but are very fond of one another, and love their children to pieces. Tesh, the firstborn, has been their pride and delight despite his small size, which has lead to some sniggering, and not just among the children. Calissa, who followed thwo turns later, is a beautiful child and devoted to her older brother.

Tesh and Calissa got on pretty well as children, but now that Calissa is five inches taller than Tesh, their relationship is a little strained. It's hard for Caresh to tell her son to look after his "little" sister when she can beat him up, but he tries. Calissa loves him, and so things aren't as bad as they might be; unfortunately, she has developed a habit of sticking up for him to his bullies, which leads to more problems...

Tesh was apprenticed at 11, and enjoys working with smaller animals best, for obvious reasons. He likes caprines, for all their stubborness, and loves firelizards, though he hasn't yet had the chance to impress one. His teachers at the Hall are fairly impressed by his determination in work, and it looks as if he'll be as good a beastcrafter as his father.
