Posting Requirements

The standards for membership aren't supposed to be onerous - there's simply a level of activity per month that different sorts of characters need to maintain, not to prevent anyone from participating, but to make sure that there's enough activity for plot advancement. Also, as certain characters are limited, and, by their nature, have a great deal of influence either ICly or to plots, characters which do not usually have high rank requirements may need more attention than other clubs typically require.

Post Requirements for Personae

Requirements for the character may be higher, if that character has a rank of level 5 or above)
7 Candidate, Weyrstaff, Holdworkers, Holdstaff, Apprentice, Other 1 Full Post per three RL months, 1 thread per month (note: Candidates during the flight/clutch/hatching cycle should be more active if they hope to impress. This is for during the "off" season)

Atora Weyr is intended to cater to all roleplay preferences, both roundrobin and full-post style. As some members may be far more comfortable writing full posts than round-robin, an equivalency system is in place at Atora: to meet requirements, you can substitute full posts for round-robin posts. One full or copost is equivalent one thread (non-started). This means that the writer for the Weyrleader could make requirements if the writer wrote three full posts in a month and participated in 2 threads. Characters of rank level 1-3 will have to participate in some threads, though that threading requirement could be met simply by the threads which they are required to start. As this is a mixed club, it would be unfair to have major ranking characters owned by people who do not thread at all; we've attempted to make it possible for people with lower-ranking characters to participate on a more laid-back, less-active fashion.

As often happens, you can have a persona who fits into two tiers of rank. For example, you have a wingsecond who happens to be a bronzerider as well. You do not have to fulfill the wingsecond's requirements and then the bronzerider's requirements; instead, you only need to do the posts for the bronzerider (1 Full Post per 2 RL months, 4 threads per month (1 started)). Of course, you can always go above and beyond post requirements - in fact, you're encouraged to, as those who do go above and beyond will probably be the ones earning rank.

There is a limit on the number of ranking personae a person may hold. Personae from levels 1-3 are considered to be major rank, and 3-4 are considered premium personae. A member (this does include the BoD) may only have two personae of major rank and three premium personae. Other rank restrictions, like one bronzerider and one female greenrider per person, also apply.

If you fail to meet post requirements, you'll get a reminder from the BoD. If, after two weeks, you haven't satisfied your post requirements, you will not be allowed to participate in contests for ranking positions, you will not be allowed to create any new personae, and you will recieve another warning. If, a week after your second warning, you still have not satisfied post requirements, your ranking personae will be suspended and made BoD-NPCs. It should not have to come to this - if you can't make post requirements, please tell the BoD why. We're pretty forgiving - we have real lives too - and we'll probably allow you to keep the ranking persona. If you find that you no longer have enough time to make post requirements, please drop a few or all of your ranking personae. It isn't fair to the club for the Weyrleader or Weyrlingmaster to be inactive, and it isn't fair to demand that you sacrifice time you don't have.
