BoD and Duties
Ah, the BoD - the Board of Directors, otherwise known as those who will collectively save our resident dictator's hiney. The support team that makes Atora Weyr possible. Those wonderful people who we all know and love. Ahem.
The BoD are a special set of members, who have proven themselves capable of added responsibilities. They are at the very minimum good and dependable roleplayers, they are enthusiastic about the club, and they want to give something more to the club than roleplay alone. Being on the BoD is not supposed to be "fun" (though it can be rewarding). It is not about bossing people around, seizing all the rank for yourself, breaking the club rules, or wreaking revenge upon club members who you dislike. It is about work, work towards a tangible reward: the success of the club.
On that note, here are the intrepid members of the BoD:
| Name | Duties | Contact |
| Alex | She’s the owner and creator of Atora Weyr, and is the principal webbie. She is also the Evil-Plotter-In-Chief. What duties does the owner hold, you ask? Well, she designed the club and webpage, so that's probably enough for starters, but she also organizes, coordinates, and plots. She oversees the general workings of the club, and is the final word if the BoD is in deadlock. She fills any empty BoD positions, and recruits members for the BoD (with the approval of other BoD members). She is final word on everything, being a benevolent dictator, but can be reasoned with and bribed with chocolate by fellow members and BoDers. | Email Alex |
| Fill Me! | Communications/Newsletter. This person is the official liason between the BoD and club at large. The Communications job requires that the BoD member send messages from the BoD to the club at large - information on upcoming plots, changes in rules, or general updates. The Newsletter, compiled by this BoD member, is sent every two weeks to the club list. Requests for coposts, IC and OOC club news, announcements about changes in month, and any announcements from the BoD will be contained in this Newsletter, sent to the Club's yahoogroups list. | ---- |
| Fill Me! | Timeliner/Requirements Tracker.
This is a position that requires you to be on almost every day - you must read every email sent to the roleplay list, so that important events can be recorded. This person will also likely be a major plotter. While this is not a paperwork-heavy position, dedication to the club and roleplay is a must. This person is required to keep note of how many posts members send to the lists (you'll have moderator privileges on the yahoogroups page), whether they're meeting requirements and so on, and you'll send reminders to those who haven't kept up requirements. A responsible job for the person that doesn't mind the endless paper work. All the perks of a Bod position come with the job, along with the boundless respect and adoration of your fellow BoDers and the membership at large. | ---- |
| Fill Me! | Mentor. Sarah gets to deal with the influx of shiny new members. Sarah's job is to fill new members with boundless joy and excitement at the thought of writing in this alternate Perniverse. They will edit and check the first few posts of every new member, making sure that the member has a sufficient knowledge of Pern to write in the club. It is up to the Mentor as to when to terminate membership. This spot goes to an experienced and nice member. After all, we don't want to scare off new members too quickly, now do we? *evil grin* | ---- |
