Nestled on the southern side of The Cloud Peaks, Athkatla is the port city that rests in the middle of the trade route between Calimport to the south and Waterdeep to the North and because of this, has the largest and busiest harbour in all of Amn.

The City of Coin is Amn's capital, as well as it's oldest city, and is the mercantile and social center of Amn. As the seventh busiest port city of Faerūn, business is its lifeblood, and anything or anyone can be bought or sold here. The law here is often blinded by the glint of gold.

The Council of Six rules here, a secret group of rulers who keep their identity just that. The other power is the Shadow Thieves, who's leaders are just as little-known, but who's actions are infamous.

There are, at any time, 130,000 natives bustling about the city. In the summer, with visitors come to trade, that number can rise to 400,000.

In such a large city, in such an ideal port spot, with world-reknowned opportunity, there are thousands of stories, some even interesting. This is just one of those.
