Harry Potter was not the only one to escape his deadly clutches.... but let's turn back the clock to 17 years ago......

Voldemort was at the height of his evil reign. He had followers throughout the entire Wizarding World. His very name struck the most intense fear into the most courageous witches and wizards...
Though all of his followers had a knack for evil, one in particular stood above the rest. Lucius Malfoy.
As a wizard, he could do extrordinary evil, though as a male, he was quite typical. And that's where Aeriana's history begins. Part of Malfoy's dislike for muggles came from being disgusted with himself. You see, Aeriana's mother, was part muggle. To keep a grotesque story short, Lucius had an affair, and around the same time Draco was born, so was Aeriana.
Feeling ashamed, Lucius dismissed Aeriana's mother without a second thought, and before he could send Voldemort's wrath upon her, she had fled and was saved by the fidelus charm. Though Voldemort came close to finding her and the yet unborn Aeriana, she stayed safe for a time.
Now in Australia, Aeriana was born away from the majority of the Wizarding World. Her mother's friends watched over her from afar, knowing someday young Aeriana would be ready to train her powers and become a powerful witch. The girl grew quickly, and so did Lucius' rage at not disposing of his dark little secret. Though after 16 years, Voldemort had been long disposed of and his followers claimed a spell-bound amnesia, Lucius' hatred never ceased. He kept people sniffing about for his daughter's whereabouts, and one day she and her mother were found.
Much like Harry Potter and his family, Aeriana was handed to the followers of Voldemort like lambs to the slaughter. Her mother saved her that night, much like Lily Potter, though the Ministry of Magic showed up just in time before the hired mafia-wizard could harm the 16 year old girl.
Now, on her own, Aeriana left Jade Institute, a small school for witches, found her way back to the mainstream of the wizarding world, and is now enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Taking the name of her father, Aeriana Malfoy searches for her father, and the true reasons she was left behind.
