Anorexia Nervosa
Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder that caused by rapid weight loss. It can effect everybody but usually women and girls are its victims. The majority of anorexics are motived by the desire to be skinny. They are always thinking that they are fat, but in the reality they are not , instead they are skinny. They set very high goals to be skinny such as counting the calories that they consume. Then if they feel that are gaining weight, they will exercise excessively, take lative pills or even vomit the food out (also known as bilimia) in a way of deliberately starving the body. Anorexia nervosa can be cured but only if the anorexics admits that they have a problem.
The effects of anorexia nervosa are:
- Dizzy spells
- Dry skin/irregular periods
- Lack in sex drive
- Brittle bones (long term)
- Death
