The Duke of Lugo left hospital today. He suffered a stroke on December 22nd and was medically treated in a Madrid hospital for the last three weeks.
JANUARY 18TH
Today was announced by the Royal Palace that Princess Märtha Louise of Norway will no longer be her royal highness from next month when she starts up her own business as an alternative physiotherapist and story teller.
JANUARY 28TH
Today was announced by the Princely Palace that Princess Tatjana of Liechtenstein and her husband Philipp von Lattorff had their 2nd child. Their daughter ELISABETH Maria Angela Tatjana was born in Grabs on January 25th. Her aunt Princess Angela of Liechtenstein will be her godmother.

Princess Margaret of Great Britain died this morning. Yesterday she suffered another stroke and was sent to hospital again..

Great Britain is mourning again: Queen Mum died at the age of 101 (6 months and 26 days). The funeral will be on April 9th.

Infanta Cristina of Spain got her 3rd child. It's a son called Miguel.

Infanta Cristina and her newborn son Miguel left hospital. The first photos were published.
MAY 12TH
Crown Prince Haakon Magnus of Norway arrived for his first official visit to Germany. He will stay 5 days and will visit Munich, Dusseldorf, Bonn, Cologne and Hamburg. His wife Mette-Marit didn't join him because of illness. During an interview on May 8th she got a bad sunburn and also had problems with her eyes afterwards. Her husband was also burned but not as worse.
MAY 14TH
Prince Bernhard jr. of Orange-Nassau and his wife Annette got their first child. Their daughter Isabella Lily Juliana van Vollenhoven was born in Amsterdam.
Viscount Linley and his wife Serena also got a daughter today. Their 2nd child was born in London. The name was not published yet.
MAY 15TH
The principality of Monaco has changed its succession law. Now Princess Caroline and her sister Princess Stephanie or their children can succeed if Hereditary Prince Albert dies without heirs.
MAY 17TH

MAY 18TH
Hereditary Prince Bernhard of Baden and his wife Stephanie got their first child. The name of the son will be published at the baptism. The date for the baptism is not known yet.

JUNE 8TH
Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands is grandmother for the first time. Her youngest son Prince Constantijn and his wife Laurentien got their first child. Their daughter was named Eloise Sophie Beatrix Laurence, Countess of Orange-Nassau, Jonkvrouwe van Amsberg. The little girl was born in The Hague and is 4th in line of succession to the Dutch throne.
Duke Jaime of Lugo is in hospital again. On his flight to Paris he collapsed on the plane. He flew to Paris with his wife to watch the men's final at Roland Garros.

Baptism of Arietta Morales y de Grecia in Barcelona. 2 of her 5 godparents are her maternal aunt Princess Theodora of Greece and Infanta Cristina of Spain.
JULY 15TH
Funeral of Prince Joachim Egon of Fürstenberg. Among the guests: Prince Ernst August of Hannover and his wife Caroline, the Duke of Württemberg and a few other German royals. The Prince died on July 9th.
JULY 20TH
Baptism of Prince Leopold of Baden (1st child of Hereditary Prince Bernhard). His godparents are his paternal uncle Prince Michael of Baden and Duke Friedrich of Württemberg.

Denmark has a new Prince! Prince Joachim and his wife Alexandra got their second child in Copenhagen today. The name of the little boy is not official yet.

OCTOBER 4TH
- Baptism in Denmark: the 2nd son of Prince Joachim was named FELIX Henrik Valdemar Christian. One of his godparents is his maternal aunt Martina Bent (born Manley).
- It was officially announced by the Royal Palace that Princess Astrid of Belgium is expecting her 5th child in May 2003.
OCTOBER 5TH
Bruno Gomez-Acebo y de Borbon (*1971, MTD) married Barbara Cano in Madrid. Among the guests: the whole Spanish royal family, Prince Koubrad of Bulgaria and his wife Carla, Duchess Beatriz of Orleans, her daughter Princess Adelaide with husband.

Prince Claus of the Netherlands died in Amsterdam at the age of 76 after long illness.

It was officially announced by the royal palace that Princess Märtha Louise of Norway and her husband Ari Behn are expecting their 1st child at the end of April or the beginning of May 2003.
