One can not express by words the feelings that I've got after arriving to the City of My Best Memories -- NY. It has been 4 years since I have not been here. It was really great to meet my old friends both from Columbia and non-Columbia and to visit the cites that I loved during my student years and to gather 4 out of my 17-member Tbiisi University group at Macro Faculty...

In NYC I stayed with my Columbia friend Gorda and his wife Carolyne...I was really to happy to spend two days with them and watch 4th of July Fireworks -- the thing that for some reason I have not seen during my 2-year stay in 97-99..

The next picture is taken with another friend of mine Manuchar at Brooklyn promenade -- a truly fantastic place about existence of which I did not know during my 2-year studies at Columbia.

Later on we went to Queens to meet Gorda's sister Nino who unfortunately did not turn out to be at home. However I've met really very nice people with whom my sister Tako lived during her 4-month internship at the United Nations in Y2002.

Alex Nouvakhov another my group mate from Columbia's SIPA along Carolyne were those whom I have not met during the last 4 years... Here on this picture we are at some Chinese Restaurant -- again a new discovery for me -- Dim Sum that turned out to be a fantastic place with respect of food...

And this is Koki, my former Ubneli from Fort Washington Ave. I've met him for a really short time when I stralled up to my old residence place -- Washington Heights.

And these are my friends Lela Shubitidze and Keti Shukakidze. I was truly happy to meet with them. Later on they even visited me in Washington where we've spent some more days together...

Together with Keti and Lela we went to Columbia University and I saw a place where I've studied for 2 years.. Columbia&SIPA changed significantly for the last few years.. And frankly I was really feeling weird as I walked and could not meet anyone from my acquaintances...

And on these picture here we are 4 out of our 17-member Macroeconomics Faculty Spets-Group from Tbilisi State University. I doubt that there even had been a single university group out of which there were 4 Muskie Finalists. I, Irinka, Mzia and Giorgi all qualified for Muskie (though Mzia and Giorgi declined Muskie in favor of exploring new ways for further pursuit of happiness).  The fifth guy on this picture is Koba Gvenetadze, our Sidze, though Sidze's do not deserve good words :-)...

Later in the evening on Brooklyn promenade in front of former World Trade Center skyline... And below is Giorgi with whom we studied at the same high school (no 161), at the University group (first at the Faculty of Finance and later at the Faculty of Macroeconomics), and at our very first job at Ibervisia .

And finally this is Aleko Kurtanidze. He was the one with whom I and Nika Lominadze have shared some really funny adventures at Six Flag and Princeton. I have not seen Aleko for the last 4 years and it was great to meet him...

A and Alikia at Port Authority few minutes before my departure for Washington DC after our very short meeting -- Jul 7, 2003

Trip to NYC was really great and I really wished to stay there longer. One thing that I really wish is to go there in a really short time not to wait as much as I waited before going for this time.
