The main house was built in 1906 and was the first house in Scott City to have an indoor bathroom. Everything has been restored and the lighting fixtures are the originals. During the depression the house was lost and then attained by Ben Christy which is an uncle to Dee Hedges current owner. The entry and formal living room were never used in the early 1900’s, they were kept formal for the preacher or special guests. At one point there was a beauty shop in the formal living with plugs in the floor now where the pipes where. The Guest House was a garage that was converted into a school room and then into the current Guest House.
