Interviews by Blacky

You can find interviews and articles written by me at Endemoniada Webzine. Here are a couple to give you an idea of what I have done.

UNCOMPOSING

Interview by Blacky
(originally done for Endemoniada #2) If any of you are familiar with the Death Metal scene in Butte, MT., you might of caught a buzz about a band called PESSIMYST. Well, the band has gone through some line-up changes.
Jason Walton (Bass/vocals) joined the band, and long time member Aaron Sholes (guitar/bass) left the band. So now it’s just John Luwis (drums/vocals) and Jason Walton. They have also changed their name from Pessimyst to UNCOMPOSING.

1. When was the band formed and by whom?
The band was formed by John Luwis back in 1989.

2. What are some of your influences John?
VOIVOD, SUFFOCATION, AMORPHIS, SENTENCED, CARCASS, and RIGOR MORTIS. Some of my drum influences are: PAUL BOSTAPH (EX-FORBIDDEN), MICHAEL SCHWARZ (ATROCITY), DUSTIN DONALDSON (THOUGHT INDUSTRY).

3.What thing of the music scene in MT do you dislike the most?
The fact that the scene the scene is dead and the only way to play anywhere is to form a country band!!!

4.What do you do when your not dealing with music
Well…I run VOMITUS DEFECATUS COMPILATION, I do mail, I travel, I explore places, bum around late at night. There’s not much to do around here.

5.Describe the kind of music you play.
Well…Pessimyst is techno/ progressive death metal… and Uncomposing? I’m not sure how that’s going to be. With Uncomposing we’re trying to get a better style.

Special thanx for to John for the interview! Uncomposing: c/o John Luwis-PO Box 4713, Butte, MT, 59701

Judecca

Interview by Blacky
Out of the searing heat of the South Florida Underground comes Judecca.

1. Who are the members of the band and what do they play?
Travis Haycook-vocals, guitar
Brent Carmany-drums
Brian Simmons-bass

2. If you’re not already, do you plan on signing on any labels?
We have signed a deal with Wild Rags Records to release our 1993 demo, Scenes of An Obscure Death on compact disc. The CD will also contain three bonus tracks taken from our 1992 demo, Eternal Rest. All nine songs have been remastered for the CD. It will be out in April 15th.

3. Who are some of your influences?
Our influences are Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, Massacre, Morbid Angel, Hypocrisy.

4. When was the band formed and by whom?
The band was formed in 1991 by me (Travis) and Brent when our last band, DEATHCREATION, broke up. We had a few different bass players since then, but now the line-up seems really strong.

5. Describe the type of music you play.
We play straight forward Death Metal. Our lyrics deal with the darker side of life, and reflects what goes on in this violent society.

6. How do the songs for your band come about?
Since we have had some problems with band members, it turned out that mainly me and Brent wrote the most of the material. Now, Brian is also a big part in the writing, and we basically write all our music that way. I write all of the lyrics. The ideas for them come from a lot of different sources. Some come from the news, others from books, or movies. I try to make the lyrics make sense, and have basic story lines to them, and not just pour out sick words for the shock value.

I would like to thank Travis for this excellent interview.
