Story: Lived in Gary, Indiana until I was about 2 years old, then my family wisely moved out to Merrillville, IN. Growing up, I did the usual boyhood things until somewhere around 1st grade where i discovered a love for music. I started playing piano, but moved quickly to the drums. But after a brief drum career, i switched to guitar, which i fell in love with. while other kids were out playing basketball or baseball, or hanging with their friends, I played my guitar. I was influenced early by my cousin Jeff, who was my best friend. He was a lot older than me but i hung around with him all the time, which sort of forced me to grow up faster than i should have. After he went to college and/or when i started high school, i sort of found my own niche. i still didn't hang around with kids my own age. It was always upper classmen, because i felt i related more with them. I hung out with all the musicians and beatniks. They introduced me to a lot of other musicians and cool people after they graduated, i had no choice but to talk to kids my age. In retrospect it wasn't a bad thing at all. I found some really great friends in the process. After high school i decided to go to the University of Indianapolis to study music education. I left the university of indianapolis in 2004 to pursue my own music and to attend the cooking and hospitality institute of chicago.
