Mord

Murders By Black Metal Figures

'Every Passing Second A Human Dies, So There's No Need To Make A Big Fuss Over This One Kill'

(Hendrik Mobus of Absurd)

In August 1992, while Emperor drummer Bard Eithun 'Faust' was checking out the newly completed Olympic Park at Lillehammer, a homosexual man named Magne Andreassen approached him and suggested they go together in the woods. Faust agreed and followed him. As Andreassen came forward to embrace him, Faust sunk a knife into his gut and yanked it up, before stabbing him a further thirteen times and leaving him for dead. Faust was arrested in August 1993 on suspicion of the murder of Oystein Aarseth of Mayhem, and although innocent of that crime was subsequently found guilty of his actual murder from the previous year. Faust received a 16 year jail sentence and was incarcerated at Ullersmo Landfengsel jail, although he has recently been released after serving just 12 years.

Singer/vocalist of Dissection, Jon Nödtveidt, has just finished serving nearly a decade in prison following his brutal mafia-styled, back-of-the-head shooting of a gay Algerian man named Josef Ben Maddour in July 1997. His accomplice, known only by the name of Vlad, is currently still serving time after not only admitting to this murder but also to the murder and mutilation of a pair of teenagers.

On August the 10th 1993, solo musician of Burzum, Varg Vikernes (a.k.a Count Grisnackh & Greven) drove six hours across Norway from Bergen to Oslo in the company of Snorre of Blackthorn to murder Mayhem founder and leader of the inner black metal circle, Oystein Aarseth (a.k.a Euronymous). Aarseth answered his apartment door to Vikernes, and upon turning his back Grisnackh drew a knife and proceeded to stab Euronymous sixteen times in the back, five times in the neck and twice in the head leaving him dead. Vikernes and Snorre then began the drive back to Bergen, stopping at a lake on the way to wash the blood from his hands, hair and face, and to sink his blood-stained clothes. After the police discovered the dead body of Aarseth, the bloody fingerprints of Grisnackh were found smeared on the body, and subsequently he was arrested and charged with first degree murder, receiving a 21 year life sentence.

On the night of April 29th 1993, the drummer of Absurd, Hendrik Mobus, with the aid of the other members of the band, murdered their 14 year old school friend Sandro Beyer after months of bitter arguing. Mobus and the other band members, who were aged just 17 at the time,  lead Beyer through a wood and into an empty bungalow. Once inside, the group pounced and wrapped electrical cord around Sandro Beyer's neck, and as they did this Mobus stabbed Beyer with a knife. Beyer begged for mercy but Mobus and his accomplices ignored the pleas and strangled him to death with the electric cord, before dragging his dead body into the woods and hiding it in an abandoned shed. On May the 1st Hendrik Mobus and the other band members returned to the site of the body, and dragged the dead body of Beyer to a nearby excavation pit and buried it properly. However, police discovered the corpse shortly after this and Hendrik Mobus (and both other Absurd members) were tried and convicted of Sendro Beyer's murder and were sentenced to 8 years in a young offenders jail.
