A good page should have 250- 350 words with a keyword density of 3-6% in text and titles and headings. In the content, your keyword should appear in each paragraph especially the first and the last.

If you have a link to your page posted in your blog and your blog is sending all post to a list receiving RSS posts, then you not only gain from the relevence or the post and the free traffic from the link, you gain from viral growth of links and refered free traffic as well, especilly if they are also sending their RSS feed to other blogs. Since search engines love blogs because of their constant new content and all the links that they generate amongst themselves, you should have a blog, post to it often, make sure it pings the search engines when new posts are received, and link from your blog to your site.
