Church Arson By Black Metal Figures.

Samoth, guitarist of Emperor, was sentenced to sixteen months in jail after being convicted of church arson in Norway. Samoth travelled to the Skjod Church in Rogaland accompanied by Varg Vikernes of Burzum, and when he arrived he entered the church and poured several gallons of gasoline inside before setting it alight, causing the ancient wooden church to burn to the ground. .

Mastermind and solo musician of Burzum, Varg Vikernes (a.k.a Count Grishnackh / Greven), is currently serving a 21 year sentence in Norway after the brutal murder of Oystein Aarseth (a.k.a Euronymous of Mayhem. On the 10th of August 1993 Varg stabbed Aarseth 27 times in the head and back leaving him for dead.

Two days after his murder of a homosexual man in Lillehammer (see muders page), Emperor drummer Bard Ethiun 'Faust' travelled to Holmenkollen Chapel accompanied by Euronymous of Mayhem and Varg Vikernes of Burzum. Faust, Vikernes and Euronymous entered the chapel and placed a homemade bomb onto the alter, but when that refused to detonate, they piled hymnals and Bibles onto the alter, poured gasoline over them, and lit a match, causing the chapel to burn to the ground. When Faust was arrested in August 1993 on suspicion of the murder of Euronymous, his involvement in the Holmenkollen Chapel arson was discovered, as well his murder from a year earlier, and subsequently he was sentenced to sixteen years in jail.

Drummer of Emperor, Bard Ethiun 'Faust', has just been released from a Norwegian jail after serving a 10 year sentence for the murder of a homosexual man. Faust lurred the victim deep into the forest before stabbing him 14 times and leaving him dead.
