Who Becky looks up to

2003 has shown me changes in my driving style as well as changes in other racers style since the 2002 season. As driving styles change, the drivers I look up to have somewhat changed. Here are my 2003 favorite racers so far.

Doug Paxson FS #99 is someone I respect in a lot of ways. I first raced with Doug last season during my rookie year. Doug was one of those racers who was having a great season, was up high in the point standings then ran into some hard luck out on the track from what I can remember. Week after week following, Doug continued to dial his car back in, racing his way from the back, which is were I started last season. Doug raced with me for several races and I have to say that Doug is a lot of fun to race with. This season I have had the opportunity to race side by side with Doug in a few races so far. I am still having fun and feel that when I see that #99 beside me, Doug will give me a hard but clean race to run, just have to admire that.

Tim Blodgett moved up from Factory Stocks to the Late Model division. He races in the Late Model division as if he wasn't a rookie. Working his way through the pack, showing the talent that he possesses. The dedication that he and his crew put into the car each week, certainly shines when anyone see's that blue #3 on the track. Tim, his crew and family are definately respected in my eyes.

George Sims Factory Stock #71 is once again placed on my list for favorite drivers. I can't help but admire the efforts George puts into his car each week and done solely on his own with no pit crew. His racing experience shows in his consistancy week after week. I know his win is coming soon! I do need an updated photo though.

Brian "Parts O'Flyin" O'brien is a racer that is amazing to race with and to watch. He will race clean and completely drive his #41 FS to the limit. Last season I knew it was only a short time before he would be smiling in victory circle. This season Brian has raced his way to two Main Event wins and you can guarantee, there will be more wins on the way.

The following are drivers who I looked up to in the 2002 season.

Wild Bill FS#2 (Formerly #122) makes racing in the #22 possible. His knowledge, determination, encouragement and hard work are what bring the dreams I have, come true. He has always supported me from the very beginning and has never complained when he has had to do repairs on the #22, even after some unfortunate encounters with the wall.

Tim Blodgett FS#3 is someone I look up to. He has shown that determination, consistency and seat time are all important factors in being the Champion that he is. His expertise as a driver is a quality I admire. I respect Tim and his crew and feel that not only do they show class on the track, but they show a great deal of wholesome genuine personality off the track as well.

George Sims FS#70 & FS#71 is a driver who shows consistency week after week. His ability to make races continually, his knowledge of racecars and his ability to thread his way up through the pack no matter where he starts, makes me extremely proud to have met him.

Brian O'Brien FS#41 is a driver with determination. He has encouraged me since my first day on the track and has a sense of humor that keeps things fun, even during the roughest times. He always seems to have a blast while racing and enjoys each and every race. His sense of humor shows in this photo, Brian added an arrow so I would know which car was his.
