Will Michael Jordan make yet another return to NBA? Highly unlikely. Of course Michael Jordan will continue to play pickup games for the rest of his life. Jordan loves the game of basketball. The real question is, what will Michael Jordan do next? The most obvious guess is that someday Michael Jordan will return to the NBA as a team owner. It's well known that Jordan would someday like to own a team, he has already attempted to buy a team but was unsuccessful.

As we look back at the year 2003, we will remember it as the last time we were able to see Michael Jordan play in the NBA. The greatest basketball player ever retired at age 40, for the third and final time. There were some memorable moments in Jordan's final NBA season. The 2003 All-Star game featured a final tribute to Michael Jordan, with a special half-time presentation performed by Mariah Carey. The Miami Heat retired his number, marking the first in sports history where another team retired a player's jersey in his honor. In the final NBA game of his career, we witnessed Michael Jordan make his final shot, it was not a game-winning shot like in 1998, but from the free-throw line, and a loss to the Sixers. Nevertheless, his two-year return in the NBA will never diminish his legacy. Jordan finished his career with 32,292 points, his career average 30.12 ppg is the best in NBA history. Thanks Michael for coming back one last time!
