DSPWagon.comThe best part about a BMW is balance; this balance is created by keeping all aspects of performance at similar levels. I keep that in mind when performing modifications. Every aspect of this E46 wagon has been enhanced slightly, power, brakes, and suspension/tires. Slight enhancements across the board maintain driveablity while providing a substantial performance gain. Recent News: A track day at Sebring brought on the premature failure of the passenger side urethane engine mount. The stock exhaust manifolds got so hot that the mount melted. The urethane mounts were removed from the car (and BimmerBum's inventory) and replaced with OEM E46 M3 engine mounts. In typical high mileage E46 style the original fuel pump failed. An OEM VDO pump and seal were installed with the additional E46 M3 fuel tank baffle. To take full advantage of the 345mm big brake kit and the other brake enhancements the street friendly Akebono pads were ditched in favor of a set of Hawk HP Plus pads. Finally, the last bit of news are some dyno numbers! A trip to a Mustang dyno revealed 156hp and 146tq to the wheels. Considering the car came with 170hp at the flywheel 160k miles ago those are not bad numbers, not big numbers, but not bad at all.
