This cover is a direct bolt-on for all 6 cylinder Z3's. The cover will not fit the differential on the 1.9 Z3, unless of corse you have upgraded your differential to one from a 6 cylinder.

There are a few advantages to this cover.

1) The fins work as a heat sink. Heat from the differential is passed through the fins and is disipated by air passing underneath the car. The result? Cooler Differential tempratures.

2) The bushing in the M cover is more stiff than the bushing in the stock cover. The M bushing has 4 metal plates molded into it whereas the stock bushing only has 2. The result? Stiffer more connected feel from the rear end.

This is a complete kit. The cover and all the hardware you need to install it is included. All pieces are Genuine BMW.

This is a simple plug-and-play modification for your Z3. By swapping your existing high beam relay out for the Daytime Running Light Module (DRL) you have instant daytime running lights. The DRL module illuminates the high beams (lights closest to the kidney grill) constantly at low voltage. The DRLs remain on with the parking lights and only shut off when the headlights are turned on or the car is turned off. You will still be able to flash your brights as well.

Installation requires the removal of he under dash panel on the drivers side. In the process of removing this tray you will scuff up the trim caps which cover the screws. All DRL modules sold here come with 6 trim caps in whatever color you need.
