I paid about 1500 or 1600$ total (INCLUDING INSTALLATION) this is the lift that uses add a leafs and a block in the rear, not replacment leafs., and i also think i paid too much.
heres a couple things about it..
1.)the lift does give excellent ride height, i read somewhere
that if u have a reg cab and short bed it gives u about 6 inches of lift.
2.)the lift is kinda cheap comparing it to the skyjacker lift.
3.)due to the lifts simplicity, its relatively easy to install.
okay. now...
1.)if ur the type of driver that needs a pretty good amount of flex
and articulation and higher performance. i suggest u look elsewhere. like
skyjacker or Dick Cepek 6" Stage III
2.)the Track Bar Relocation Braket's main bolt has broken on mine about
4 times already, ( i got the lift installed late jan early feb, dont remember)of
THIS YEAR. i now carry a bunch of spare grade 5 bolts, nuts and washers
in my toolbox incase of roadside repairs needed.
---my front end is extremly heavy, i have very wide tires and wheels
with 3 inch backspacing. and i drive offroad and onroad like a nut. i'm
guesssing the bolt keeps breaking due to great stress.-- so if ur not gonna
be doing anything like me i suppose you and your truck would be okay..
3.)The Track Bar Relocation Bracket Brace - had one of its " ears "
with a bolt going thru it and attaching to the side of the relocation bracket,
Broke, so i had to get that Welded Back on.
4.)Another design i EXTREMLY dislike is the conversion of 4 link to
2 link radius arms, SHORT radius arms at that. before on the 4 link the
stress of axle movement on the links gets absorbed by 4 links, now all
the INCREASED STRESS cuz of tires, higher center of gravity, more body
lean, etc, get absorbed by only 2 links. i just recently found out that
my drivers side radius arm (the upper link on the bar) torn off right after
the welds. right now its gusseted(braced) so i can still drive the truck,
currently waiting to see if i can get it replaced by superlift. and since
the arms are short, there is very little travel and axle flex.
Anyways 2 things (trackbar relocation braket and radius arms) are the main things i dont like about the superlift.. however if ur just gonna use it for looks and nothing serious offroading. then the lift is a perfect price/performance tradeoff.
if i can go back in time i would of convinced myself to get the Dick
Cepek 6" Stage III system and for MYSELF to install it. i think the Dick
Cepek and Skyjacker system is better in just about ALL WAYS !! mainly
becuz retains the 4 link suspension system, AND as an added bonus
they Extended the arms greatly, for even Greater Travel. , . and also you
can fit 38's under it :)
(The Dick Cepek System, advertises for only being on the 2500 rams,
but i've seen the system on 1500 rams.)
Also if i could go back i would of installed the superlift myself. its mostly bolt on. very little bit of drilling. it DOES require welding. the sway bar end link mounts get raised by welding on a taller extension ( If i remember correctly) so it can keep the sway bar at the factory angle. ******however, u dont have to drive with the sway bar so what i would of done is , install the lift myself and go somewhere to get the extensions welded on by someone else.***** this would of saved me a few hundred dollar$ . but if u dont feel comfortable then just have someone install it, that way hopefully it gets done properly..
If your on a budget then go to this site i dont know anyone who has it so i cant comment. but at the truck show (bloomsburg) i saw there product on display and it looked very good. so go to the page and look.

FabTech - famous makers of the 2 wheeler lifts. had Designed and produced
an EXCELLENT ! lift kit.
They,, like Dick Cepek has a 6 inch lift, which ALSO retained the excellent
4 link setup with EXTENDED length control arms. This lift Does require
Cuttin, Grinding, and welding. . They also designed a very nice lookin
and functional dual shock setup bracket. Anyways. this lift kit DEFINTLY
caught my attention.. ! ITS track bar relocation method also looks
pretty solid, because from what i understand. welding is needed :)
ANyways, I"D DEFINTLY give this kit some thought before i go out and buy
one. Geez,, i wish all these kits were out last year.
WELL Goodluck with selecting the right 5 / 6 inch kit. whatever kit u pick , you better believe it'll make your truck look nothing less than impressive. I still get a good dose of an adrenaline rush everytime i jump in to drive the truck somewhere.
Majority of the time u see a lifted truck its a chevy or ford. These are so common, when someone sees the 2 trucks most people think, oh well its nothing new "see those things everyday everywhere, they are more common than those goofy lookin, buzzin everywhere, damn annoying, P.O.S, "..i wish i can ramp of them..." Civics. . but when people see a lifted DODGE RAM.....its different, , , Unique, , its love at first sight(who says theres no such thing, happned to me :)
Anywayz I better stop I could talk about this for hours.. well like i said good luck and if.you have any other questions dont hesitate to ask. .
