cost is, i believe about $160 i really dont remember.
i think adding to a body lift to a truck which does see some pretty
heavy fourwheelin. is okay..and not too much of a problem. In my opinion,
the only 2 things u SHOULD NOT do with a body lift. is Catch air, and go
rockcrawlin, in extremely twisty terrain. other than that it should be
perfect for added height and clearance. Me for example I'm always in the
Mud. so its good and not a problem. As a matter of fact, its PERFECT because
now i have to force myself to not go airborn in a heavy truck and start
breakin stuff everwhere. :)
Installation is actually pretty easy. I used the Trailmaster 3 lift, It comes with everything u need to install the lift completely, except for REAR bumper Brackets. i'll tell u where u can find em later..
Installation is pretty much straightforward. Majority of the kit is bolt on,* EXCEPT !!!* for follwing.
1.) The steering shaft( which u must remove). Must be cut in a certain
area. Then u must WELD on the included Extension.
2.) The additional Metal bed support pucks get WELDED on between the
frame and the bed.
3.) Transmission Shift Linkage also gets an extension, u have to remove
the Shift Linkage, cut in a certain area, Then Weld on the INCLUDED extension
The Front Bumper Brackets ARE included (but i cant use em cuz my bumper
isnt quite OEM). As for the Rear Brackets, i bought mine at.

Just call em up and say u need the rear brackets.
hehehe. Installation of the rear brackets, is not HARD, just requires
thinking. i actually sat there on the parking lot, looking really dumb,
staring at 2 pieces of 1/4 inch think (!!!) metal brackets. for alittle
while trying to figure out which way does the brackets go. it was actually
kinda fun. but just thought i'd let u know.
The Transfer case Shift Lever, DOES NOT need modifications contrary to common belief. it just gets sunk in to the floor abit. but u can still shift no problemo. i suppose if u feel like removing the lever and spending hours on it just trying to regain 3 inches of lever length, then go fer it, but i just left it alone.
something has to be done to the gas tanks fill tube,U get a little piece of rubber extensions, to let the gas tank, reach the filler entrance, ( the part u stick in the gas pump.) i feel abit dumb right now, cuz i cant think of the name. :) but i think u get what i mean.
Now just to save u the money of installation. what u should do is. install everything u can by you. the only welded part u cant take with you is the additional bed supports. but thats not very important at the moment. So u should take the 2 linkages. (steering and Trans Shift) to go get it welded some place. then come back then finish off installation, then go back to the same place and get the bed support pucks welded in. This way would save u alot of money installing everything yourself.
Anyways, thats the Only parts that are actually ..not bolt on.. in general it was actually pretty easy. , and would take about half a day. or the better part of the day. its much easier if u have a helper.
