Sheba, also known as Jeanne deWard is a 56 year old, self styled redheaded Jewish bitch who writes scientific reports for a living and novels and poetry because she has to. She lives blissfully in Durham, NC with her husband, her stepson, an elderly bulldog, and a very spoiled cat.

Sheba's husband, known as InkSlinger, is a commentator on issues of the day; her mother, Syd Ginsberg, is a sculptor; her oldest son, Tim Mitchell, is a comedian; her middle son, Ian Shillock is a musician; her youngest son, Bret Shillock, is an autocross racer, and her stepson, Aaron Barber, an expert on wrestling rumors and predictions.
