The Denton Humane Society rescues and places hundreds of unwanted pets in loving, adoptive homes every year.  Most of these animals would have been euthanized if the Denton Humane Society had not provided for their care. DHS carefully screens potential adopters to ensure the best possible match between guardians and their new pets.  Orphaned animals are kept in selective foster homes while awaiting adoption. In these private homes they are nurtured and given veterinary care as well as being socialized in the family environment.  The $150.00 adoption fee covers the cost of spay/neuter, first set of vaccinations, microchip, and worming. All adult dogs are heartworm tested and are heartworm negative unless otherwise stated.
