 Here is the full summary for the saiya-jin saga. This includes season one and some of two of the Dragonball Z series. The voice acting wasn't bad, but the censors were! Too much was cut. I liked this saga because this has the great battle between Goku and Vegeta. This saga is pretty much structured as: the arrival of Raditz, Goku's training, Gohan and Piccolo's training, the rest of the gang getting prepared with Kami, and the journey of the saiya-jins. Next was the battle between Nappa and the Z fighters, then Goku vs. Vegeta, then the end of the battle. Enjoy the reading, and don't steal anything! |

Dragonball Z starts off with Raditz landing on Earth. His ship creates a crater and a farmer comes to check it out, and Raditz kills him. He uses his scouter to pick up a high power level. He doesn't find Kakarott (Goku), but Piccolo. Piccolo catches him with a mean KI blast that doesn't even affect Raditz. He is ready to finish off Piccolo, when he picks up Goku. Goku took Gohan to Master Roshi's island to meet Krillin and Bulma. Goku was married to Chi Chi and had a son named Gohan. Raditz appears and tells Goku he is his brother, a Saiya-jin, from the planet Vegeta. Master Roshi tells Goku the story that he is from outer space and his Grandpa Gohan found him in a space ship. Raditz wants Goku to join him, but he refuses. Raditz grabs Gohan and knees Goku. He tells Goku to kill 100 earth people to get Gohan back.
Piccolo arrives and agrees to team up with Goku to fight Raditz. They find him and Gohan is locked in the Saiya-jin space ship, but his scouter reads Gohan is at power level 710. They fight and Raditz beats the crap out of Goku, and knocks off one of Piccolo's arms. Piccolo charges a Makkankosappo but misses. Raditz beats the crap out of Goku some more, and Gohan pops out of the ship and flies at Raditz with a wicked headbutt which causes his armor to crack. After that Raditz does a little smacking up and knocks out Gohan. Goku grabs Raditz from behind with a full nelson. Piccolo powers up another Makkankosappo and Goku tells him to kill them both. The beam goes right through Raditz and Goku, killing them both. Krillin, Bulma, and Roshi arrive as Goku says goodbye and they all say they will wish him back with the Dragonballs.
The thing that blows for them is that two more powerful Saiya-jins heard them through the scouter. Raditz said more powerful Saiya-jins will arrive in one year and get the Dragonballs. Goku fades and Raditz dies. Piccolo told them that Kami has something special in mind for Goku. Piccolo takes Gohan so he can train him to fight the Saiya-jins and leaves.
This is when the Raditz part was over and it was only 4 episodes long. The story splits into three parts now. Yamcha, Tien, Krillin, Yajirobe (who just eats),and Chau-Zu all seek training from Kami. Piccolo leaves Gohan out on an island by himself for 6 months, then comes back to train him. Goku get's permission from King Yammuh to travel the 10,000 mile Snake Way or Serpant Path to get to King Kai for training. On the way there, in about 4 months, he falls off into Hell, and get's back up, but back to the beggining of the trail. He quickly reaches his old spot and also encounters a giant snake, which he get's away from. When he reaches King Kai, he first had to make him laugh, then to catch the monkey Bubbles, then hit a grasshopper-type thing named Gregory with a mallot. He completes all the tasks and learns the art of Kaioken and masters the Genki Dama(Spirit Bomb). However, King Kai tells Goku that the Saiya-jins will arrive tomorrow, and it took Goku about a 9 months to get to King Kai. Well, Goku says goodbye and takes off,after getting a new Gi.
The Saiya-jins arrive in one year from Raditz's death. They came to not wish Raditz back, but to wish for immortality. When they arrive, their ships crash through a busy building, then Nappa blows up a city by only putting up two fingers in the air. Vegeta and Nappa pick up 6 people with power levels over a thousand, but they go to the strongest: Piccolo and Gohan. Nappa and Vegeta fly and stop at the two. Just then, Krillin joins them. Nappa releases six Saiba men, each as powerful as Raditz. Just after the fight starts, Tien, Chau-Zu, and Yamcha appear and they make a deal with the Saiya-jins to stall time to allow Goku to get there. Each Z fighter will fight one Saiba 1-on-1 and do like an elimination thing. Yamcha goes first. He easily beats the Saiba, but the evil monster grabs Yamcha and self-destructs and kills the brave fighter. An enraged Krillin kills 4 of them, and Piccolo kills one.
The real fight starts now when Nappa joins the fray. Chau-Zu dies when he self-destructs and Nappa is left untouched. Tien puts up a decent fight, but he dies going for a final blast, and it barely affected Nappa as Tien fell and died. Krillin and Piccolo give Nappa a run for his money, but when Nappa is about to kill them, Vegeta tells him to wait 3 hours for Kakarott (Goku,duh) to arrive.
After the three hours is up, Nappa goes for an attack, but Gohan hits him hard. A pissed off Nappa goes for the kill when Piccolo jumps in front of Gohan and takes the beam head on, which saves him. However, Piccolo dies (and so does Kami since they are spiritually linked). With Kami dead, the Dragonballs disappear. Vegeta tells Nappa to kill them anyway because they can go to Namek for Dragonballs. Gohan beats on Nappa a little, when the mighty Saiya-jin goes for the death stomp. Just then, the flying Nimbus a.k.a. Kintoun grabs Gohan. Goku finally arrived. He gave Gohan and Krillin each 1/2 of a senzu bean and told them to get to Master Roshi's. They leave and Goku is left alone.
Goku proves too much for Nappa and cripples him badly. Just then, Vegeta throws Nappa in the air and finishes him off in honor of the Saiya-jins. This is where the battle heats up!
It starts out with the famous "join me or die" but thanks to FUNimation censorship, it's usually "join me or perish". Anyway, Goku and Vegeta start the fight. Vegeta has the upper hand and smacks Goku around. Once Goku uses his Kaioken attack, he get's some hits. He uses a Kaioken x3 and beats the hell out of Vegeta. An enraged Vegeta and a now confident Goku fight for a long time until Vegeta notices that he is outmatched. He takes out his Galic Gun to destroy Goku and the planet with him. Goku let's out a Kamehameha with a Kaioken x3 and tries to hold the powerful blast, but finally opens up to a Kaioken x4. Goku easily overpowers the evil Saiya-jin and sends Vegeta on his way on the beam. Unfortunately, Goku's body is shredded and Yajirobe comes out and tries to claim victory with Goku, but Vegeta get's off the beam and comes down. Yajirobe quickly runs away.
Vegeta uses a huge ball of energy to simulate a moon, which turns him into an Oozaru (the giant ape). As an Oozaru, your power is increased 10 times, very bad for our hero. Vegeta beats the crap out of Goku and then squeezes him in his fist. Gohan and Krillin arrive on the scene. Gohan distracted Vegeta while Krillin shot a Kienzan (destructo disk) to try to cut off Vegeta's tail. With his huge ears, Vegeta jumped over the beam, cutting the hill under Gohan. Luckily, Yajirobe jumped up and cut off Vegeta's tail. He shrunk back down to normal size and he engaged in a fight with Gohan. "And you thought I was mean with the tail!". After the fighting, Goku gave Krillin his last bit of energy that was in his Genki Dama (spirit bomb) that he formed before. Krillin shot it and it missed Vegeta, but Gohan rebounded it. The mighty Saiya-jin was shot into the sky, only to fall to Earth a short while later. He went after Gohan after he saw that his tail grown back, but Yajirobe hit him from behind with his sword, which actually shattered Vegeta's armor. While Vegeta smacked Yajirobe around, Gohan got a good look at the energy that Vegeta threw into the sky to transform himself.
Gohan then turned into the powerful Oozaru and went after Vegeta. After a short fight, Vegeta successfully cut off Gohan tail, but the transformed Gohan landed on Vegeta, almost finishing him off. Vegeta called for his Saiya-jin space pod and crawled to it. Krillin, with Yajirobe's sword, was gonna finish off Vegeta, but Goku pleaded for him to let him go because he admired his power. Vegeta sworn revenge and took off.
Then, Bulma, Muten Roshi and ChiChi arrived to get the three survivers to the hospital. They wondered how they were gonna wish everyone back since the Dragoballs disappeared when Piccolo and Kami died. They recalled Vegeta talking about how there is a set of Dragonballs on Namek. However, Namek was too far to fly in a normal ship. Bulma remembered Nappa's ship. After that, they all went off to the hospital. At the hospital, Krillin and Gohan kept trying to escape and Goku is put in a bed that keeps his body from moving.
