 Here is a really important section that is useful for anyone learning about Dragonball Z. I have a couple pages of in-depth character bios. This is pretty much a list of all main characters, or characters that played an important role in the story. All the information was written by me, and me only. If you want to use anything, you can use the top part, not the paragraph. And make sure you ask permission. All the pictures were made from larger pictures using Paint Shop Pro 5. If you think I stole a picture, it's not true because all these were created by me. Also, the abilities were gathered from all my knowledge of visiting other sites. Anyway, enough of the mean talk. Race: Saiya-jin
Nappa was Vegeta's partner/bodygaurd when they came to Earth (like Vegeta needs a bodygaurd). He was very powerful in comparison to any of the Z warriors and easily killed (or sent to another dimension) Tien, Chaou-Zu, and Piccolo. He is also an elite Saiya-jin and was commander-in-chief of the whole Saiya-jin army. However, despite being very big and strong, he wasn't very smart. Vegeta started getting tired of his carelessness. When Goku hurt Nappa bad enough, Vegeta finished him off. He appears in hell in DBGT, but only to be killed by Vegeta once again:).
Race: Shape-shifting Pig
Oolong appeared first in Dragonball when he was terrorizing a town for all the daughters. Goku put an end to the "terrible Oolong" and he joined them on the adventure. He is also major perve, always looking at Bulma and also collects women's panties. He can shape-shift, but only for 5 minutes and that doesn't make him any stronger either. He is the biggest coward, unlike Puar, and he eventually is seen less and less.
Race: Human
Ox-King lived on Mt. Frypan and he kinda "terrorized" a local town. He later met with Goku and befriended him when he learned that Master Roshi trained his "Grandfather". Kamesennin put out the fire on his mountain, only to blow it up with a Kamehameha. However, they found a dragon ball there. he is also a decent fighter, but is easily weakened when yelled at by his daughter ChiChi. He only pops in once in a while.
Race: 3/4 Human, 1/4 Saiya-jin
She is the most powerful female in all of the Dragonball series. She is the only child of Gohan and Videl and is about 11 or so during the first episode of DBGT. She spends a lot of time along side of Trunks and Goten, kinda like a sister they never had. She also goes on adventures with Goten and Trunks and manages to always get in trouble. She also has the name Pan-chan. "-chan" used to refer to a little sister and also meaning "cute". She never turned Super Saiya-jin, but it still extremely powerful.
Race: Namek
Piccolo, one of the most important characters in all of Dragonball, is also one of the favorites. He has the right fighting style, attitude, and an overall coolness to him. He came out in Dragonball when Chibi Goku defeated Piccolo-daimao and he was forced to spit out an egg, which hatched into Ma. Jr. a.k.a. Piccolo. He grew up and wanted to kill Goku and lost to him at the Tenkaichi Budoukai. He was evil until the beginning of Dragonball Z when he was forced to team up with Goku to defeat Raditz. After this battle, he trained Gohan for the arrival of the other Saiya-jins and gained a love for the child of his former enemy. When Nappa went for the kill and finish off Gohan, Piccolo jumped in front and sacrificed his life for him. He returned to fight Frieza, but failed. However, he did get powerful by merging with Nail. He did beat up Frieza, but lost in the end. Piccolo survived the battle and went on to fight Cell, Buu, and all those guys in DBGT. He was, for a short period, the strongest character when he merged with Kami, becoming the original Namek that came to Earth that forgot his real name.
Race: Shape-shifter
Puar is a good friend of Yamcha. We meet Puar in Dragonball, and we learn he is a shape-shifter that graduated from the school and is good at it, unlike Oolong. Puar is first pretty mean, but quickly becomes good. He isn't such a major character, and is just given small roles every once in a while
Race: Saiya-jin
Raditz was the first villian to appear in DBZ. He arrived and had a run in with Piccolo, whom he didn't fight, but did prove stronger. When he found Goku, he told him he was his brother and all about the Saiya-jins. Raditz kidnapped Gohan, then Goku and Piccolo teamed up and took after him. Raditz was much too strong for the two, but Gohan's hidden power was revealed and Raditz was weakened enough for Goku to grab hold while Piccolo killed both brothers with his Makkankosappo. Vegeta and Nappa heard about the dragon balls through the scouter when Piccolo told Raditz about them. Raditz thought the others would wish him back, tough luck, he was never heard from again. Even though he was a weak Saiya-jin, he was really cool.
