 Here is a really important section that is useful for anyone learning about Dragonball Z. I have a couple pages of in-depth character bios. This is pretty much a list of all main characters, or characters that played an important role in the story. All the information was written by me, and me only. If you want to use anything, you can use the top part, not the paragraph. And make sure you ask permission. All the pictures were made from larger pictures using Paint Shop Pro 5. If you think I stole a picture, it's not true because all these were created by me. Anyway, enough of the mean talk. Have fun reading and remember how much work it took to finish these. |

Race: Human
Bulma was the second character we met in Dragonball. She was looking for the mysterious Dragonballs when she hit Goku (and a huge fish) with her car. They both went along a long adventure to find more of them. They met many people like Yamcha, Kamesennin, Krillin, Tien, and Chaou-Zu. She played important roles in all the series. She was more of a main character in DB, also in DBZ. She was responsible for the dragon radar, the birth of Trunks, the creation of the time machine, and many years of complaining.
Race: Majin
Buu was an evil monster resurrected by Babidi, the son of Bibidi. Bibidi originally brought out Buu, who killed many Kaio-shins. He was resurrected because Vegeta became a more powerful Majin Vegeta and when Buu was brought back,in a fat version, he killed Babidi. It was a long struggle to fight Buu, he even absorbed Gotenks, Piccolo, and others. Vegeta and Goku used the mystical Potarra Earings to become Vegetto. They wipped Buu for a while, but the fusion wore off. Buu was hard to kill because he easily regenerated. Goku finally killed Buu with a Genki Dama.
Race: Android
Cell is one of the most powerful enemies in the Dragonball series. He is an android made by Dr. Gero and was left in a test tube to develop. He absorbs Androids #17 and #18 to become "Perfect Cell". Cell loved to fight, and even created a "Cell Game" encouraging everyone to come and fight him. Goku dies transporting Cell to King Kai's planet when Cell self-destructs, because Cell got his behind beat by Gohan. Then he reforms from a single brain cell. After that he got into a Kamehameha battle with Gohan, but Goku encouraged him and he destroyed Cell.
Chaou-Zu is a short, white being we first meet in Dragonball. He has the power of telepathy and can use it to talk to his friends or even hold down some enemies. His long time friend and bodygaurd is Tenshinhan (Tien) ever since we first met him. At first, he was Goku's enemy, until you learned his master was actually a bad guy, and not Kamesennin like he was led to believe. After that he befriended Goku and joined the other Z warriors to battle future threats. He was killed during the Nappa fight when he exploded to try to save the world. It didn't work and he died (it is a he, right?). While dead, he trained on Kai's planetoid and actually defeated Guildo there. He was wished back right after Frieza died. However, he never got much stronger and stopped battling after he was wished back.
ChiChi is the wife of Goku. She isn't really a main character, but she is a major one. She constantly yells at Goku for letting Gohan do what he wants. ChiChi always makes Gohan study instead of train, and worries way too much. When Gohan went to Namek, she went on a spaceship to fly there, but it didn't work too well. When she and Goku had Goten, she eased up a lot. Even though she yells and worries too much, she still makes a good mom to Gohan and Goten.
Race: Namek
Dende is a small Namek boy that Krillin and Gohan saved while Frieza was in his village looking for the Dragonballs (He is also one of the only characters with a good voice besides Piccolo, and Bubbles :). He escaped with them, but his family wasn't so lucky. However, for some reason, Gohan and Krillin kept saying, "We can bring you back to your family later." I swear to Kami, his family is D-E-A-D dead! Anyway, Dende brought Krillin to Guru to received a powerup and also the precious 1 star Dragonball. Dende stayed with Guru and Nail. During the battle with Frieza, Dende got a special healing power from Guru and healed everyone during the battle. He also summoned Porunga, the Namek eternal dragon and spoke the Namekian words and wished Piccolo back and wished for him to be teleported to Namek. Later, Dende is made the gaurdian (Kami-sama) of Earth after Kami fused with Piccolo permanently.
Race: unknown, but he looks like an aquatic pig :)
Dodoria, or "do do brain" as Vegeta would call him, is a chracter that was only in DBZ for a short time, but I wanted to add him here because he is soo evil. He always picked on people with lower power levels, and was cruel about it. First off, in the Namek village, he killed many Nameks and a Namek kid without hesitation. "Do do brain" is one of Frieza's henchmen, who chases after Gohan and Krillin who attacked him to save Dende, but he meets up with Vegeta. Vegeta put Dodoria in a submission hold, and Dodoria told Vegeta that Frieza destroyed his planet, not a meteor. Dodoria was killed by the mighty Saiya-jin.
Race: Changeling
Frieza is the most pure evil person and one of the most powerful warriors in the universe. Frieza was a very cruel being, and had way too much confidence. He even used the Saiya-jins to clear planets of their people and Frieza could sell the planet, but he thought they were gonna be trouble and destroyed the planet, killing every Saiya-jin, except 4. However, we do find out there is others-Taurus (Turles) and Brolly. Frieza also controls the infamous Ginyu Force. He get's the Dragonballs on Namek to wish for immortality, but he didn't learn the Namekian words to summon the dragon. Frieza is almost killed when Goku turns SSJ and the planet Namek blows up. He comes back to Earth with King Cold when they turn him into a robot, known as Freezer-bot. But their luck runs out when Future Trunks turns SSJ and kills him and his father.
