 Here is a really important section that is useful for anyone learning about Dragonball Z. I have a couple pages of in-depth character bios. This is pretty much a list of all main characters, or characters that played an important role in the story. All the information was written by me, and me only. If you want to use anything, you can use the top part, not the paragraph. And make sure you ask permission. All the pictures were made from larger pictures using Paint Shop Pro 5. If you think I stole a picture, it's not true because all these were created by me. Also, the abilities were gathered from all my knowledge of visiting other sites. Anyway, enough of the mean talk. This is a special part of the character bios section. All this is about the androids a.k.a. artificial humans that you may or may not have seen in Dragonball Z. Also, information about their creator is available. Enjoy them and let me know what you think of them.
Race: Human/ Android (later on)
Dr. Gero is from the original Dragonball series and he is angry at Goku because he destroyed the Red Ribbon Army. Later on, in DBZ, he created artificial humans to kill him. The first one was #19, which he used to kill Goku and turn him into an android. Gero became android #20 with the ability to rebuild himself. #19 and #20 went on an attack against Goku and the others. However, Goku's heart acted up, and he left. This left Vegeta and the others to fend for him. Gero thought they had no chance, but Trunks came back from the future and told everyone to train for the next three years. Trunks also came back from the future when Dr. Gero and his android arrived. After the two artificial humans' defeat, Gero created #18 and #19, very powerful twins (these are the ones that are in future Trunk's timeline). #17 killed Gero because he didn't want him to release Number 16. But unknown to them, in a test tube developing, was Android #21, Cell.
Race: Android
Android #16, made for the sole purpose of killing Son Goku. Gero made him from scratch (not from a human base) and he was never meant to be activated, since he may try to kill Dr. Gero and #17 and #18. However, once #17 killed Gero, they wanted to release him. Trunks didn't want another artifial human coming to life, and tried to stop them, but #18 saved #16 and his life pod. #16 was released, but would not fight, only battle with Goku. By nature, he is loving, shown by birds landing on him and he got upset when the fights scared them away. After Cell hurts #17 and #18, #16 fights him, and can stand up to him. However, he gets beat and destroyed. Bulma collected the parts and rebuilds him to fight with the Z warriors, and attempts to self-destruct to kill Cell. The bad thing? Bulma removed his bomb. #16 is just a head, and tries to tell Gohan to use all his power, but Cell steps on and destroys the head, which causes Gohan to go SSJ2.
Race: Android
The twin brother of #18, #17 is also a human based Android. He was one of the Artificial Humans from Future Trunks' timeline. In the normal timeline, he goes with #16 and #18 to kill Goku. He attacks and almost kills all the Z Warriors when ther interfered in the fight between Android #18 and Vegeta. However, the three Androids find Cell (to everyone's amazement, they never heard of him) and fight him. Android #17 does not stand up to Cell, and is defeated easily. After that, he is absorbed by Cell's tail. He is stuck in Cell, until Cell self-destructed, then he was disintegrated.
Race: Android/ Human (later on)
Android #18, the one we all know as the "cute" one. Well, she may be that, but she's also a lethal weapon. In Future Trunks' timeline, her and #17 took over the world. She was very brutal, but at least her love for clothing stores spared some people's lives. In the normal time, she got into a tough battle with Vegeta and proved too strong. After the short (and easy) battle with the Z warriors, she help #16 and #17 take on Cell. During the battle, she was sucked up by Cell's tail and helped him become Perfect Cell. However, after Gohan beat the crap out of Cell, his body broke down and she was "spat" up. After that great clash of super power, she settled down with Krillin after she learned he developed a crush on her. Krillin wished her human and thet married. Then they lived at the Kame house and had a child, Maron.
Race: Android
This Android resembles a strange clown rather than a horrible Artificial Human. #19 is the first Android to be released to kill Goku. Before the plan would take action, Dr. Gero used Android #19 to make him into an Android to make him stronger. Thus, Gero became #20 and prepared to fight. During the battle between the Z warriors and the two Artificial Humans, Goku left because of his heart. However, Vegeta was strong enough to defeat the horrible creations. #19 was destroyed and Gero rebuilt himself to fight another day.
