Welcome to the Third Maryland Artillery's Web site.  We hope you enjoy your visit here and find the information you are looking for.

Our team consists of members from 8 states although most of the active members live in PA, MD, VA, and DE.  We meet at Ft. Shenandoah six times each year to compete in National and Regional competitions held by the North-South Skirmish Association.

The Third Maryland Artillery is an organization of men and women who shoot black powder guns, mortars, and cannons in timed competitions.  Members of the Third Maryland Artillery participate in target shooting competitions at Ft. Shenandoah, Virginia several times throughout the year.  See the schedule for upcoming shoots.

During the Civil War, the Third Maryland Artillery was a unit on the Confederate side of the war ,or as southerners call it, "The War of Northern Aggression". 

This site was created for the use of the members of the Third Maryland Artillery.
