I took you in 8 years ago when others did not want you any more. You were not a lap cat like the others and mostly kept to yourself, but we did share our tub time while the others stayed away. You time with us was short and your illness so hard to bare. I found myself playing nurse and doing things to help you that I never thought I could do. We became closer then but it is a shame to find that intimacy because you were so ill. I did all I could, and you struggled against the odds. Alas I had to end your suffering and but I still see you sitting there as healthy and sweet beside my bath. I'll never forget you Maui..
With love always your Mom Megan. Joey and Ameilia send kisses too.

Karineh's beloved companion for the last 18 yearsAm I ever going to pass over Nanu's loss! I don't know? Few days ago finally I put her to rest and put her ashes under a tangerine tree that I bought for her. We called the tree Nanu and every morning I try to go and talk to her. Chris she was a character unbelievable. I had her since she was six weeks old. Beautiful black and tan coat. Lately she turned to black and white. Everyone who came in contact with her they fell in love with her. She was famous in Iran, in Armenia in Canada. These are the people that she gained there heart and they always asking how she was doing when they went back home. She only could understand Armenian. She was an extremely sensitive dog. One time a guy walked in and insulted her by saying " oh I don't like dogs take her away". You know what she did? She went and sat in her bin bag and turned her face to the wall. So her back was pointing at him. She sat there that way, as long as he was in our house. She did that because she loved people but not all to them. She could sense the rotten ones. She was not good with other dogs. If she had done something wrong she would disappear for few hours and then I had to call her and tell her " come here let me see what have you done". She will come crawling like a snake and then when she got close to me she would spread her legs and put her tail between her legs. I am telling you she could understand everything. Someone after seeing her told me she understands everything she just cannot talk. That was my sweet Nanu. When she was younger she will jump like a Kangaroo to beg for a food. She loved food and I always put her on diet. Because her kind is prone to be paralyzed from waist down when they become overweight.

this is Puddin she is 13 years old and is the love of Marcia's life. Visit her website by click on her picture. Pud was born in the state of Indiana, on June 17th 1988. She was part Basset, part Beagle but looks all Beagle. Her name came from a nursery rhyme my Mom told us as children. Pud was the most exasperating animal I have ever had! I house broke her in less than a week by taking her out every 2 hours. Now at the end of her life I am doing it again. She was able to get away from me a lot and ran around the neighborhood checking in with all the animals and people she could. I'm terrified she will get run over by a car. This dog has no fear....she went after a raccoon the other night. When she got a little older, she was able to get out of house by herself by flipping the latch. I really should say when she got big enough..... it made no difference if door was locked. Then we had to change locks. Answered phone, too! This is a dog that rarely barks but she can! She is in hunter class and that whooping sound is just great. People come to door and she just wags her tail. BUT she does know if something or someone is not right. The hair goes up on her back and she growls. Pud is very loveable but on her terms and her time! She knows my moods and when I am ill she stays close. Other than that, she ignores me! Except for meals! My husband Daryl and I raised her like a child and she probably thinks she is human. When Darryl died, we both mourned. Sadly PUD Passed away on Dec.5th '03. Now I am left on my own to mourn for both of them. I would be so grateful if you could please VOTE for My Pud in Heaven, it is my way of keeping her memory alive.

this is Dutchess, she is such a darling my little Buddah loves her tooShe is three years old. She is Lab/Doberman/Hound cross. We addopted her from a pet store when she was six weeks old. She was diagnosed with hip Displacia when she was two. Her hips bother her more in the cold weather than in the summmer. The surgery she needs is very expensive and we are unable to do it alone. They have told us that hip replacement is her best option but that it will take anywhere from three to six months for one hip to heal and by the time it heals she will need to have the other hip done. Without the surgery, eventually she will not be able to walk as she will loose the use of her hips completely and if and when that were to happen she would have to be put down. NOT something we want to happen. We love this dog like she was one of our own children. Which in our opinion she is. The kids have been great with her and take care of her very well. They make sure she gets her medicine and of course she sleeps with them.

Gunwanti's dog she has passed away But please visit her website to read more about her
Juffi was born on March 6, 1978 in Juhu, Bombay. Juhu is a very popular beach. We found Juffi roaming lost on the beach, just barely able to walk, hungry and wet. We brought her home and fed her, and since then she adopted us doggies. She was found on Friday at Juhu, and that's why the name Juffi. She lived with us at our home in Santa Cruz (West); then moved with us to our other home, at Four Bunglows, then yet in another home in Bombay, and finally she immigrated along with our family, in 1991 to Canada. On the 30th July, 1992 "Our Juffi passed away". She will always be remembered by us.
WOW!! for someone, all the way in India, to find and rescue a dog and even bring it to Canada with them, is something worth thinking about.

Carolee and Gary's cutie pieLowie is a two year old minature schnauzer. He likes to chase rabbits and gets in the weeds so we keep his hair short because after a run, he is full of stickers. Our yard has lots of foliage and trees so there is a lot of bushes and trees that he crawls under. Luckily, most all of the rabbits are smarter and faster than he is. Usually the rabbit sneaks out of the bush, and he is still there looking for him. He is very friendly, but thinks if he barks that people will just love to pet him. It usually scares people away. He can not understand when the family adores him and gives him lots of attention why everyone else does not want to do the same. He has been neutered. Gary, my husband, thought that might calm him down, but he is still very hyper and wants to go all the time like a two year old child that just learned how to run.
