Pesticides and their involvement with Hazardous Waste
Pesticides, or agrochemicals, are chemicals designed to control various pests that interfere with the growing of agricutural and horticultural crops. They fall into three categories: insecticides, herbicides (vegetation control), and fungicides. The 1930's witnessed the beginning of the modern era of synthetic organic pesticides, of which there are now hundreds.
