Steve's Bio
Well Papin fans, Steve has been released by the New York Dragons. They say because he was being paid too much and wasn't producing. However, how can you produce when you rarely get the ball. The only time he was getting the ball was on kick offs. And without a line to block for you, there's only so much the man can do. Anyway, Steve may be back this season on another team. However, if he's not, it's been a great ride. Steve would eventually like to pursue his goals of coaching. Let's wish him luck.

Steve was born in Denver, Co in 1972, the prodigy of MomPap. Since the age of 6, Steve has been playing football, baseball, basketball and even golf. Steve is very multi-talented and excells in all activities he participates in. His main true love however, is his Sony Playstation. It's like American Express, "he never leaves home without it".

Steve went to high school in San Jose, CA at Piedmont Hills High School. From there his football career took off and he went to West Valley College. Steve excelled at West Valley and later transferred to Portland State University where he now holds records for "Most Rushing Yards in a Season", "Most All-Purpose Yards", and he was even a Harlon Hill (equal to Heisman in Div II) finalist in 1996.

Steve was the #1 Running Back in the Nation in Divison II football.

Since Portland State, where he was given the phrase "Good Things happen when you give the ball to Papin", he has gone overseas to play for the Scottish Claymores in 1997 and is now with the San Jose Sabercats where he was given the name"Super Steve" and "Coast to Coast" and holds numerous records there as well.

Those records include:
Most Consecutive Games W/TD reception
Most TD's in a Season
Most Combined yards in a Season

***1999 Record***
Most Kick off Returns for a TD in a Season
1st Player in AFL History to gain 3000+ yards in Consecutive Seasons
