Who shot Nice Guy Eddie?!

** If you haven't seen the movie, this page is FILLED with spoilers... so stop reading here! **

Who shoot Nice Guy Eddie?! The biggest controversy of the film. There are even T-shirts printed up! At the end, there were 5 living and 2 dead in the redevouze; White, Pink, Orange, Joe and Eddie were still breathing and Blond and Marvin were dead.
Theoretically, it would make scene that the order of the shooting is Joe shoots Orange, White shoots Joe, Eddie shoots White, so White shoots Eddie back.

It couldn't have been Orange, since Orange didn't have any bullets left after unloading on Mr. Blond, and considering he had just been shot a second time (this time by Joe), he wouldn't have had the strength to hold a gun straight anyway.

It couldn't have been Mr. Pink, since he was hiding under the ramp; even if he wasn't, you know that he was struggling to maintain professionalism throughout the aftermath of the heist, and there's no way he would have gotten involved in the personal dispute. Plus, (and maybe most importantly...) he didn't have a motive!

Unless you believe in reincarnation, or life after death, it wasn't Blonde or poor Marvin Nash, either.

After eliminating the obviouse, and watching the scene many, many times, I came to the conclusion that it was Mr. White. You can see White pivot towards Eddie and fire just a split second after Eddie shoots White. Upon further inspection, when I played the scene again, frame by frame, you can see that his gun was a little eager, and it appears that it goes off before the pivot, thus shooting into the air, after being shot by Joe.

But hey, this is just my interpretation of what happend. Some people have reasons (even some justifiable ones) to believe that it was Pink or Orange. I think that would be too complicated, and I stick by what I saw...

You wanna convince me that I'm wrong? I'm not easily persuaded, but be me guest, and try!

C'mon, Nice guy Eddie was obviously shot by

Empire Magazine (a UK film magazine) ran a Chris Penn interview, where he said the following: "Nobody shot Nice Guy Eddie. It was a mistake. What was supposed to happen -- and I don't know if Quentin's gonna like me for giving this away, but it's too late now, he never told me not to -- was Harvey Keitel was supposed to shoot Lawrence Tierney, then me, then get squibbed. But what happened was the squib on Harvey went right off after he shot Lawrence Tierney, so he went down, but my squib went off, so I went down. So basically nobody shot Nice Guy Eddie. Quentin said, 'You know what? It'll be the biggest controversy of the film. We're leaving it.'"

Good move, eh?
