What is the Region 8 Conference?

The Region 8 Conference is an opportunity for the leaders of the Region (aka the Jurisdictional Officers) to get together and discuss issues that are important for the Region and also to make suggestions to DeMolay International.

Ok i'm starting to get an idea. What else?

We basically meet around a bunch of tables and go over an agenda that has been prepared by the Region 8 Coordinator. We debate various issues and attempt to come to a consensus of how the region, as a whole, feels about the various topics.

What type of topics are discussed?

This year the two main topics were: Whether or not to we should try to plan a Region Sports Tournament and If we should try to move Pac West around to different parts of the Region or hold a North and South tournament.

What was decided

The sports issue was sent to committee and a proposol was presented in November and will be reviewed again at the next Conference. The Pac West tournament will most likely beging to change locations in the future and the northern Jurisdictions will start holding a joint Ritual tournament to promot enthusiasm for Pac West.
