You are responsible for ALL assignments listed below, WHETHER OR NOT WE COVER THE MATERIAL IN LECTURE. In addition, you should be aware of eukaryotic cell structure, cellular physiology, enzymic action and activity, cellular respiration, and basic biochemical reactions and terminology. This information was covered in BIOL 1107, BIOL 2081 and BIOL 2082, all of which are prerequisites for this course. This knowledge is basic to a rudimentary understanding of the microbial world. We will only review such material when discussing various aspects of the prokaryotic world. (Chapters 2, 5 and 8 in your text are available for your review help)

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to keep up-to-date with lecture and laboratory assignments. Supplemental information, in the form of handouts, will be designated as testable or non-testable.
