to help you find #lifeboat

Who

Everyone is welcome to jump in and join the "Fun, Friendship, Love and Support" of #lifeboat.

What

Use programs such as mIRC and Pirch to get access to the Internet Relay Chat. They are free to download and can be registered for continuous use, although they do come with no restrictions when you first get them. I recommend mIRC. Its easy to use, very user friendly and you will get lots of help from people in most channels.

Where

When you first decide to jump into IRC, you will find a list of servers. Each server is grouped into different "NETS" such as DALnet, Undernet, Anothernet, Effnet and many more. You can choose any server listed as being for DALnet and they will give you access to #lifeboat and another 2800+ channels on DALnet.

When

No matter what time of day, you are able to join #lifeboat. Its always open, although no guarentees of people being there at 4am ET.

How

Connect with the Client of your choice, such as mIRC. Once connected, wait until the Message of the Day (MOTD) is done scrolling down your status window. Then type "/join #lifeboat" without the quotation marks. You will then be in the channel #lifeboat. WELCOME ABOARD!!!
