The SMALL'S of Bowdionham,Sagadahoc,Co.,ME.

From a book "Town of Bowdoinham".
John SMALL setteled in 1804 upon the Rufus SMALL farm having been married two years.Previous;they came from Bowdoin w/two children into the wildreness with only a bridle path to get out into civilization. John,s widow lived about 80ty years on the farm she died at the age of 104. The farm was on a road connecting with Ridge Rd. to Richmond Corner and the Pond. I need to visit Bowdoinham to find other records. I'm at a brick wall I don't know who Rufus is. Was he John's dad or an uncle ? Anyone out have any info to share!
