some aspects, but my main complaint was that the voices were totally not insync with the
mouths. The characters would be talking when their mouths were not
moving.

The
following opion is by "Genesis": This is definitely a shoujo
series no doubt. However, the wonderful thing is that the lead girl role is very ordinary,
has no problems with herself or others. She's very normal and acts like a normal girl
would. This series slowly brings the audience together witnessing Himeko's maturity. Also
with her, her friends too slowly mature together. Also what would be missing if not the
usual complicated relationship between Himeko and another boy who she slowly grows
fond off. This is a really cute series which makes you feel good at the end. Spanning quite
a long series too.

MORISAKI Taku is a college student in Tokyo. Flying home to the city of Kochi for vacation, he recalls the events of his last two high school years. A late transfer student named MUTO Rikako transfers into Taku's school and immediately establishes herself as a star student, although she hates southhern Japan (Where "everyone talks like in an old Movie"), and does not fit in with the rest of the class. She also "borrows" money from Taku (claiming she lost her own) during a school trip so she can travel to Tokyo and visit her father (who she hasn't seen since her parents separated the year before). Her trip, accompanied by Taku, begins to cause trouble for him around the school and bring him in conflict with his best friend MATSUNO Yutaka, who likes Rikako (though she does not return his attention). Slowly Taku realizes he also likes Rikako despite her faults, but is unable to tell his friend about it.
A very intelligent film, with lots of good dialogue and character
development.

Lupin III is the grandson of the famous French Gentleman Thief, Arsene Lupin. He and his friends, the master gunman Jigen and the master swordsman Goemon, go through many adventures to get treasures around the world. The beautiful and mysterious Fujiko could be either an ally or an enemy to Lupin. And Inspector Zenigata is always in hot pursuit of Lupin.
Lupin III is a very popular animation series in Japan. It has three TV series, five movies, and numerous TV movies. Miyazaki co-directed the first Lupin TV series with Takahata in 1971. In 1979, Miyazaki wrote and directed the second Lupin movie, Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro. In 1980, he wrote and directed two episodes of the second Lupin TV series: Albatross - Wings of Death and the last episode of the series, Farewell Beloved Lupin.

The whole series is filled with the
usual craziness and creativity that is expected of this talented lady.
Maison
Ikkoku takes everyday situations and creates such spell binding stories out of them that it is
impossible to fall in love with the characters. Unfortunately, the movie just highly
irritated me with the change of character designs. Although the characters acted
the same they totally looked different. The plus side to this is that the OAV was
drawn to the standards of the T.V.show.

But on a positive note the music still rocks, and the OAV's and MOVIE are still great. My advice is: "Don't get this series! Just skip it and go to the OAV's and
MOVIE."
Finally I complete the oav's!!!It took me almost
4 months but I finally found the last episode. The oav's does the macross name
justice. Although the focus is not on the triangle relationship between Basara,
Mylene, and Gamelin, the story in itself is very
entertaining.

Nausicaä, the princess of a small nation, tries to stop other warring nations from destroying themselves and the only means by which their world, devastated by a holocaust called The Seven Days of Fire, can be saved from the spread of polluted wastelands.
Around the 1980s, an edited version of this film was released in video under the title Warriors of the Wind. The editing was done without the knowledge of Studio Ghibli, who were unhappy when they learned about it and would like to ask those who have seen it "to dismiss it from your minds."

soon as the Domestic release hits the streets.
With lush green backgounds, awe
inspiring music, intricate storylines and the smoothest animation ever, this is a must have
for all fans.

This was added along time ago but I forgot to put
it back when I redid this site.

you? Berserk deals with these questions in this bloody and truly stunning
tile.
In the spooner continent, sorcerers
controled the lives of the common people. In order to balance the delicate control of
power, the government created a band of people to dispense justice to the sorcerers who
lived their lives for evil purposes.

Set in the future, Bt'x tells the tale of Teppei . The
Kikai Empire has kidnapped his brother, Professor Kowtaro Takamiya. They hope to use

not. Now Teppei, with the help of a powerful Bt named X (think talking, metallic
Pegasus with an attitude) must save not only his brother, but the entireworld. But
what Teppei doesn't know is that there is an ancient prophecy involving X. Will Teppei be
the world's savior or it's
destroyer?
Ancient enemies collide once again
in a battle for domination. This Anime can shift from funny to very
serious. With slapstick comedy and fast fightscenes, this is a very traditional
anime.
Haven't had the chance to view this
yet...(finals and all) Although most people say this is a weird anime, it deals with mind
control...
A
nostalgic shojo Anime on the life of a young girl. Although this has a wide fanbase,
this anime seemed to run-of-the-mill-type of a chick flick. It really didn't bring
anything new to the genere. Sorry B.G.Y
fans.

I must give big props to clamp
and the director of this title. I was tired of watching magical girl anime that have
repeat animation on how the heroine defeats her enemies, i.e. Sailor Moon. This
title is very refreshing because the main character thinks of DIFFERENT ways to beat the
renegade cards. There is hardly any repeat frames, she always has a new costume
and she is not an unintelligent bimbo who takes her powers for granted. THIS IS A
VERY GOOD SERIES TO
WATCH.
This was really funny. I
was laughing throughout
theshow.
What really happened after the war? Where did all the
charactersgo? The OAV's tell these stories on an individual basis. Being a fan
of theseries, I hope that more of the OAV's will be
fansubbed.
This is the final moments of the
war. Alot of people have been waiting for this. High drama, with alot of the
usual "antics" of the crew to keep this film from being to
serious.
Christmas in January : A sweet little piece on love andacceptance. This deals with the bitter pain of rejection a girl feels
towards the one person who is Supposed to love and care for her...her
father. Sequence, while not so melodramatic, is a fairly good piece. I was
previlaged to be able to read the comics, and while the film is missing alot of the original
story, it still retains the feel of the comics. This is a fairly good anime. Love
transends everything, it brings together what was seperated, and with it comes the
understanding when to let go.
A great series with each episode full of comedy. These girls
can't go anywhere without blowing things up! These girls kick @$$! This is a
must for fans.
To save the future...at what cost? What happens when you
fall in love with the one you must destroy? The creator of Video Girl AI brings you
this beautifully produced series.
There are no titles under the
"E" catagory
Given a pen and paper that contains the magic of time and space, A
young girl is given the power to transform into a future version of herself. This is an
interesting series, I had my doubts because of the title but once I watched it, I was
basically hooked. Hard core action freaks should avoid this one. This is one
cute
series.
Born in a blood soaked and wartorn land, a baby in sent through
the flames of time into the future. Now as a young man he must train in the ancient
arts of ninjitsu to embrace his destiny. Because it is being subbed by Shinsen Gumi
you better expect lots of
episodes.
Known as the romantic series of
1997-98, Fushigi Yuugi will draw you into itself, the moment you begin to
watch. Despite it's relatively shojo feel, this series is quite good. I would
recomend this to all fans of the T.V. series.
I don't know what it is...never really
wanted to anyway. From what I saw in my few minutes of watching it seems stupid, but I
maybe incorrect. If anyone would like to dispute this, please feel free to e-mail me with

I didn't get to
see much of Gauche the Chellest, but I heard that it was a very intellectual film that was
based on a book written by one of Japan's foremost writers. Dragon Ball Z, as the title
states, is the currently the last episode in the whole DBZ saga. I say the "current last
episode" because we all know that they will be adding more to this unending storyline
even after this supposed "last episode". Here is a brief synopisis:
This is
one of the best ending's that I have ever seen. The characters were created by
Haruhiko Mikimoto, the character designer or Macross.
5 young men once again take up the destructive mecha
known as"Gundams". This is the final chapter in the Gundam W
saga. Thesepowerful 3 episodes tells the tale of the final days for the fight for
peace.
A young man, unaware of his past, must fight the darkness
that clutches at his soul so that he may be able to protect the one destined to save the
kingdom, the one who is dearest to him, the princess
flute.
For those of you who are fans
of the series, the movie changes the characters drastically. It seems the dark and
brooding Hamelyn, was replaced by a moronic idiot who yells alot. Although I did
not like the change in character, I found this movie to be more of a comedic relief from the
serious T.V series.
The F4, the most popular
boys in the school, control the trends and the attitude of the students. Don't cross
them or you might get "carded" and be targeted for constant abuse from the rest of the
school. This is the story of one girls fightagainst such hazing. Although this is
VERY shojo I couldn't help liking thispiece. This girls kicks @$$...I loved every
minute of
it.
Care to destroy
spirits? Ghostbusting Anime Style. This isaverage...but funny.
In accordance to the laws of the kingdom of Magic, the future
ruler must create a device that proves to be practical and unique. The young
future ruler has indeed finished with this task, and now must look to her earthian twin to
put it to the test for one year. Now Himeko must take the magical ribbon
that turns her into whoever she chooses and use it to the extent of it's powers, while her
royal twin looks on in amusement from the realm of magic.
I can hear the ocean
Not
much for story but loaded in Action. This has "Fist of The NorthStar" written all
over it.
A Beautiful romance blooms with the
beginnings of a red straw hat. Considered by many as a classic, Kimagure Orange
Road takes romance,comedy, drama and alittle of some psycic abilities, to make this one of my favorites.
Marmalade boy on Acid!!! While the only thing
related to Marmaladeboy is that the characters look like miniture versions of Yuu and
Miki, this is a total different story. This series runs at a breakneck pace due to the
fact that the maincharacter, (a child star named Sana), seems totally dopped op on
speed. This seriescan change from totally insane and hilarious to being deeply
emotional in a blink of
aneye.
Laputa: Castle in the Sky
Pazu rescues an unconscious girl descending from the night sky with a glowing pendant around her neck. He helps the girl, Sheeta, to escape from the air pirates and the military who are obsessed with Laputa, a legendary kingdom on a floating island in the sky with which Sheeta is suspected of being connected.
They are known as the best trouble shooters in the
universe. Unfortunately one is obsessed with very tacky capes, one can't cook and the
other is a highly intellegent AI with a neurotic complex of cockroaches and power
weapons. All I can say is very
average.
Legends in China tell of a young girl
that rose from the nameless, faceless sea of the lower class to become the first wife of the
Emperior. A bitter-sweet tale of courage, of the comming of age, and the true
meaning of happiness. Another timeless classic from Hayao Miyazaki, the creator of
Princess Mononoke.
Lecca Chan...a girl goes off
with a dream fairy to find the rings so that day can come.(yawn)Blazing Transfer Student,
on-the-other-hand, is a non-stop parody on martial arts films that feature highschool
students.
I have not seen this personally, but
Jen says it's very
good.

This really disappointed
me. I was expecting much more than what was given. I guess Maki Tensho
just wanted to captialize on the violence of Ninja Scroll. Unfortually Maki Tensho
lacks in character designs, details, and overall feel of the original Ninja
Scroll.
From the
mind that brought you the twisted movie, Akira, comes anothertitle to bogule your
mind. This is a story from 3 different points
ofview.
A group of children learn magic from a young boy. This is
another title that I would have just ignored. If not for the pressure from my friends to
watchthis, I would have missed a charming
title.
This has to be one of the best series
created by Ms. Rumiko Takahashi.
This is the eternal
classic. Characters drawn by the world famous Mr. Haruhiko
Mikimoto, the fame of Macross, spread throughout the world,and basically boosted
the interest of Anime in the western
world.
I swear the amount of negative
e-mails that I recieved on my negative words on Macross 7 just got too much, so I
buckled under the pressure and I watched the series over again...it still sucks. There were
alot of repeat frames, basara stops the protodevilen the same way over and over and over
again.
3 girls are called to defend the
earth. Given the powers of fire,wind, and water, they must stop the evil that has
come from another world. With beautifully drawn characters, this is known to many
as a
C.L.A.M.PClassic.
Once teacher and student, they were the best of
friends until they finally awakend to their past lives. Now one fights to obtain
the lost glory of his emperior,the other...he fights to regain the soul that was
lost. This tape is filled with Kenjitsu and historical facts of the Inca’s. This is a
must for collectors.
Nautski Crisis 01-02 & (unknown
title)
Nautski crisis has...Great looking
character designs, cool fights and decentstory line...The thing I found suprising was the
captains attitude, "Defeat your opponent withouthaving to kill or seriously maim
them." Ring a bell kenshin fans?
Nausicaa: Valley of the Wind

you."

PURE COMEDY!!! This is highly recommended. I
was laughing my *** off. The whole title is excellent...storyline, character
designs,everything.
.Although the movie leaves some parts out from the series, it is still
a good movie.I was touched by the emotion that was portrayed throughout this
film This is one of those titles that rank there with "Grave of the Fireflies" and "Rail
of
the Star".
Mononoke

1997,this title broke E.T's 15 record in Japan.
Games that are
translated into anime form usually suck. This one is anexception. But still it is
lacking, this title tries to fit a full story into twoepisodes...this cannot be done
properly.
