Let's start at the beginning..... My name is Denise Light. I was born in Surrey, England, on August 15th 1948, which makes me older than I care to think about. I now live in Grimsby in N. E. Lincolnshire. I have been married to Chris for 30 years and we have 3 children, Jennifer, Roger, and Stewart. For a photo of Chris & me click here.
My main interest, or should I say, OBSESSION, is family history.
I help at Cubs on a Monday, and go to a silversmithing class on a Wednesday, do a computer course on a Tuesday.
My job - I am a home tutor for the education authority. I am a qualified teacher but I teach children who don't go to school, usually for medical reasons. There are other reasons but it gets quite complicated explaining it all. If anybody out there wants to learn more, do feel free to e-mail me. Over the years I have tutored children with head injuries following traffic accidents, Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism), scoliosis and other medical problems. Psychological problems also mean that children sometimes do not attend school and again I have had variety of children to deal with.
My maiden name was Leach, and I have a brother who lives and works in New York. We spent the majority of our childhood in Oxford.
