¡ My Experiences Abroad !
This is a part I couldn't leave out from my homepage ... My year over at
the states - Missouri to be exact, during the '96-'97 school year with the student exchange program named YFU -Youth For Understanding- has been the best year in my life,
ever. I have learned SO much about myself within the short span of a year
than anyone would in a lifetime ... although I know I have got a whole nice
life ahead of me ... *grin* ... gotta be positive ya know ? ... mmm ...
Anyway - I met so many beautiful people in America ...
Beautiful - I do not mean the Baywatch Babes kind of beautiful ... *grin* ... But ... just inner beauty ( AND outer beauty as well ! ) ...
The Morgan Family ... the family who I stayed with during my year there, and I'm thankful that they could put up with me ... my moodiness *grin* ... and especially Deb and Tim ( who I call them Mom and Dad ... ) ... tried to understand that I do not like to be "tied" down... But ... we got on pretty well ... which I'm glad ...
And ... I gained a brother and a sister ... Andrew ( Andyyyyyyy ! ) a deaf 14 ( at THAT time ) year old and Whitney, a hearing sixteen year old ... Andy ... *grin* ... he drove me crazy ... and he knew that ... and loving every minute of it ! ... Especially when I grew up as an only child, this was a trial for me ... But hey ! When I came back home ... the house was WAY TOO QUIET for my liking - I'd have Andy here with me ANY time ! <;o)
I attended Parkview High and after a moment of terror when I realize how BIG
the building was ... and there were about 1,500 students in '96-'97 school
year, not to mention the teachers ! Met several sweet people - If I start
naming them - this list could go on and on forever *smile* ...
