Senses: Vision and Smell

The giant panda's vision
The giant panda's eyes have long, narrow pupils, like cats' eyes. This means that it has good up-and-down vision, and is good at controlling the amount of light admitted. This suggests that it can see well in the dark. This is useful, since it doesn't sleep all night, but wanders around eating. Its vision is too poor for it to rely on sight hen hunting, though.

Smell
The giant panda has a good sense of smell.
