Quick Start Into 108 Temple Tour

Having offered our pranams and prayers to the Lord, we now take off our cyber-pilgrimage to various Divyadesams. Bajrang bali ki Jai! We would group these temples into the following groups:

  1. Sozhanattuth Thirupathigal
  2. Nadunattuth Thirupathigal
  3. Thondainattuth Thirupathigal
  4. Pandianattuth Thirupathigal
  5. Malainattuth Thirupathigal
  6. Vadanattuth Thirupathigal

Though there are a lot of temples, we group only those temples as Divya Desams(the 108 divyadesams) only if it had enjoyed the rhymes from any of the twelve Azhwars. There are twelve of the Azhwars. The total of the Azhwar pasurams number to about 4000 and are called as Nalayira Divya Prabhandam. As is said in the line, Kushya desa yatra nagare ranga Yatra Dhine Dhine,,the divine pilgrimage is possible only if one had got good bliss out of his deeds from his previous births. With the current facilites available, it is quite easy to travel anywhere in the world, but absolutely not without the blessings of the Lord.

We also mention here that the Azhwar pasurams are referred to as Mangalasasanams.

You may check out in detail about the Azhwars by clicking the Azhwars Links from the navigation menu.
