Upon graduation from Baptist Bible College of Springfield, MO, Pastor Perdue went directly to join the ministry of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Fairfax, VA. During his 30 years there, he was involved in nearly every aspect of ministry. He served (at various times) as Associate Pastor, Music Minister, Youth Director, Christian School Administrator, Business Manager, Sunday School Director, Visitation Director, Church Administrator, "Jolly 60's" Director and adult Bible teacher. His broad range of experience well equips him for the varied ministries of First Baptist Church.

Growing up in a preacher's home with three brothers, Pastor Perdue learned quickly the importance of ministry. He surrendered to God's calling to vocational ministry at age twelve.

Pastor Perdue and his wife, Debbie, met while students in the Baptist Bible College. They married shortly after his graduation in 1969. The Perdues have four adult children who live in various parts of the world.

Pastor Perdue followed up his Music degree from Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Sacramento Baptist College in 1972 and is presently pursuing a Master's degree through Andersonville Baptist Seminary. He was ordained t the ministry in July of 1975. Pastor Perdue began his ministry with First Baptist Church of Milford, DE in March of 1999.
