The four time travellers are in the past in the year 1925 (June 11). Here the Doctor plays cricket and solves the mystery of George Cranleigh--the son of the woman of the house who was horrible disfigured by South American indians years ago. He was kept in the house by the mother and a good Indian but George gets free and kills a butler and the indian. He wants Anne Talbot-Nyssa's lookalike but gets Nyssa instead. George falls off the roof. Adric ate a lot in this story and it is the first time he wore other clothes.
