We took the time to ask  his party members what they thought of him and this is what they had to say:

Tizzle, the halfling. "Well the guy means well, but...  His fireballs are aimed poorly and his webs go haywire. If only he would try using a real weapon... like darts, or something."  

Hendel, gruff dwarf. "For a IMG, he is rather incompetent in using his magic. His motives seem well enough for his own people and purposes. His lust for magical knowledge may get us all killed."
