The accompanying pages are scanned from the original drawings by J.F.Campbell for Harmsworth’s Universal Encyclopaedia c.1921, an excellent set of encyclopaedias, which through their 80 years in my family have been a great source of knowledge to my father, my sisters, myself and my children (always taking account of their age), and which I still refer to on occasions. |
