THE ROYAL DOCKYARD AT PEMBROKE

The following pages which are copied from the contemporary Times newspapers relate to the building of British warships (and a Royal Yacht) at Pembroke Dock during the mid 19th century. I found these when trying to research my great great grandfather, Michael Roch, who was a shipwright at the Royal Dockyard in the period 1830s to 1850s and possibly later.

I thought that these might be of interest to those researching the people of Pembroke Dock or ships of the Royal Navy.

I have other information from the Times on the Barracks and fortifications of the Docks and, gradually intend to add this to these pages.
The Times pages are scans and, therefore, cannot be searched using my Pinpoint search engine, nor using the find button on browsers, although ship names are in the headings on each page and can be searched for.
On the next page are links to the pages for specific ships, and the people mentioned.
