Radition Filter

Take a 5 gal. can or bucket. Turn it over to the bottom. Take a nail and perferate upward through the bottom, make 12 holes within 2 inches of the center.

On the inside of the can fill to 1 1/2 inches thick with washed pebbles. Cover with terry colth or panty hose or burlap. Cut shapes 3 inches longer than the diameter of the can. Take soil with clay from 4 inches below the ground. Pulverize the soil and put it into layers over the cloth that covers the pebbles. Make the soil layer is 6 to 7 inches thick. Cover the soil layer with a bath towel. Place small stones near the edges of the cloth to hold it in place. Support your container on bricks, rocks, or sticks. Place a pan underneath the filter. Run your collected water through the filter. It will produce about 6 quarts of clean water an hour. After 50 quarts rebuild it with new materials. Water after poured through the filter should be free of radation.
