Courtney started her handling
career at the age of 9. Her first show was with a Rottweiler puppy that
she had trained for the ring herself. She place 4th in Junior Handling
with him as well as earning a 4 pt major in the breed ring. From there
Courtney has moved on to the Beagles so she would have a dog more of her
size to show. Courtney started with our field beagle Bud until we found
her our first show Beagle "Serra".
In the year 2000 Courtney managed
to go from Junior Open to Senior Novice and then on to Senior Open where
she will stay for the remainder of her Junior Handling Career.
During the Sarnia Kennel Club
dog show in July of 2002 the Soutwestern Ontario Junior Handling Zone
finals were held and Courtney
won Best Overall for Zone 6. She then went on to Halifax to compete
for the Canadian National Junior
Handling competition and she was awarded runner up for Canada to a
fine young handler Jeanette
Warner who won the Nationals.
GOOD LUCK JEANETTE IN ENGLAND!!!
Courtney also shows in Junior
Handling competition in the United States and has qualified in
2002 to compete at the Westminister
