These are a few add-ons that I have found useful in the recent past, put up here for your use and enjoyment:
UD Monitor by Roman Mamedov (RM) ( Contact: UD Mon contact info ). Forum thread ( archive #1, #2)
- Provides workunit caching, Agent checkpoint (save) monitoring, activity logging, and other functionality.
UDDialup by ChronosBear(E-mail: chronosbear@yahoo.com).
- Allows your computer to explicitly trigger your dial-up connection when the Agent finishes a workunit and disconnect when the communication has completed (Does not work with AOL and some other propriatory dial-up accounts).
UD Tool by CrazySquirrel (E-mail: information@crazysquirrel.com).
- Java application that monitors the last checkpoint (save) time of the Agent.

- Application that provides multiple workunit caching, multi-processor support, and disablement of automatic battery-snooze mode.

- Logs the times between checkpoints and displays it in graphical form. This way the user can get more insight in the checkpoint behaviour of the UD Agent. In the Client/Server version, this data can be viewed over a network; thereby enabling remote monitoring.
UD Process Priority Manager by depresion (Email: depresion@prometheusuk.freeserve.co.uk). Forum thread
- Allows you to automatically adjust the UD client task to run at a priority higher than "idle" (just in case you should ever want to have a computer that is less responsive or less usable for any other purpose). Note: does not appear to work on Win2k/XP. See forum thread for link to app.
UDTime by Gliuck and Rob (Email: unuseful@libero.it). Forum thread
- Estimates the completion time of a work unit.
Time_since by Mr Fred (Email: webmaster@kerrins.net). Forum thread
- Shows time since last save and estimates WU percentage complete. Note: This utility requires the installation of Microsoft .NET framework to run which is available via Windows Update.

- Recover your lost/missing UD tray icon (The UD icon can sometimes dissappear on WinXP).

- To prevent CPU-time loss, this program will allow you to delay a system shutdown until the next checkpoint has occured.
UD Organiser by Mr Fred (Email: webmaster@kerrins.net). Forum thread
- This program is designed for use in places (usually offices) which would like to run the United Devices Agent but are unable or unwilling to grant each individual computer access to the Internet.
The Organiser runs from one computer which does have internet access (usually a laptop), and harvests results from all the other computers on the network. Once these results have been returned to the United Devices servers, the program distributes the new work units to the correct computers on the network. This utility requires the installation of Microsoft .NET framework to run which is available via Windows Update.
